Here's why Obama stays quiet as Trump attacks his legacy
CNN ^ | October 14, 2017 | Z. Byron Wolf

Washington (CNN)With each passing day, President Donald Trump unravels another piece of Barack Obama's legacy. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The Paris climate accords. The Iran nuclear deal. Transgender people serving in the military. And, now, that most personal of policies for the former president: The Affordable Care Act. And yet Obama watches from the sidelines, mostly silent, as Trump punches holes in the dry wall of his freshly finished legacy.

"could have been, ‘so cut him some slack,’

I think you're right. CNN isn't writing for us, its writing for its shrinking readership.

They need to know that bama is still out there.

Sort of like santiclaus.

That’s very good analysis. Quite possibly the entire point of the article was to convince the writer that Obama is still a force. They’re not seeing or hearing that much from him, and Trump’s successes are scaring them witless. So CNN expends many words to reasure themselves that Obama has not hung them out to dry.

I really think you nailed it. The author DID go to some lengths to mention all the fun, high roller hobnobbing Obama has been doing. That reference only makes sense when seen through the prism of, ‘But Obama being part of the Beautiful People crowd in no way means he’s forgotten about us. He still thinks about us and cares about us...he really does.’

That’s my take on it, too. All this crap about how “brilliant” he is is just a pack of lies. He’s an idiot and compared to 0vomit most slackers look positively industrious.

I think 0vomit, along with quite a few other people, are laying low, trying to keep a low profile, and avoid being indicted. Hitlery, on the other hand, is taking the position that the best defense is a good offense. She doesn’t realize that she’s just digging her own hole deeper.

Indict now.

People would have attacked him if he had fought back, and You might have been one of them.

Personally I wished he had taken revenge after he was out of office.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The Paris climate accords. The Iran nuclear deal. Transgender people serving in the military.
!~!~~!~!~!~!~

Most of it illegal and unconstitutional, definitely all bad for America.

There were very good reasons for the founders to insist on a natural born citizen.

We will pay for that error for decades.

“a new world to benefit a select elite few”
Then Obastard had better be looking for a secure place to hide.
The REAL select elite few certainly don’t consider Obastard or any other of his race to fit into the select elite few.
Call it racist if you will, but it is the truth.

Now I still want Congress to take some of these perks away from ex-Presidents including SECRET SERVICE protection.

Me, too. No perks and no protections. They are so wealthy can pay for their own secret service. No housing allowances, nothing.

I have notice presidents get very rich as they do their jobs. I don’t get rich doing my job. Actually I am poorer than I was 40 years ago. Pissy situation.

Bodega, that has been stuck in my craw for years now. WHY should the taxpayers keep these former presidents and their families in luxury when they’re rich enough to take care of themselves when they leave the White House? You are so right that they get rich when they leave and right after they get back into public life. If they want a library......raise money.......if they want an office.......rent one.........if they want protection....hire their own and so on.

His only words in his vocabulary are: I, ME, MINE, MYSELF,

Now that he got his golden parachute and living out his playboy lifestyle without any political watchdogs on his heels, he's now free to live & do everything his perverse mind wants to do & enjoy his gay lifestyle to the hilt. He got his fame, power, money and now he can drop the fake family & Michael/Mooshelle anytime he wants.

And the answer according to this propagandist...

"Obama's relative silence frustrates some Democrats, but the alternative might not achieve anything for them as they search for new voices to rise up and challenge Republicans and Trump. Plus, Trump likes nothing more than a foil. If Obama were to grab the mic and defend his legacy in a full-throated way, it would only work to give Trump an enemy to attack and rile up his supporters."

I actually don't understand why any of you guys ever disliked the tweets. The tweets are game changers, always have been. They are surgical strikes on the corrupted psyche of the collective Left. Remember when we were pissed off that Bush Jr. never spoke in his own defense? The tweets are Trump's means of speaking not just in his own defense, but in the defense of sanity in general, and they are unfiltered, side-stepping the normal misrepresentation of the left-wing news media.

I am willing to bet that Trump prepared and studied for his presidential run for years before he ran, and the use of tweets and other internet-based social media was ALWAYS part of his plan. That's not a "4D chess" comment, that is a recognition of the eery level of success that he has had with his methods.

Actually I agree with you.

I just don’t think tweets are very ‘presidential’ but, like I said, I do understand why and he definitely is ‘winning’.

Maybe 1939 has something to do with it and the fact the fact ‘we’ no longer use Morse Code...

Change - sometimes - can be hell....<: <: <:

As to Bush JR, that must be hereditary as Bush the elder ‘always’ believed the American people wouldn’t believe the trash they were putting out about him...

I still don’t think he really ‘gets it’.
