Whos next?
Now that Harvey Weinsteins reign of sexual terror is over, the answer is, hopefully, several of Hollywoods most durable, liberal, ostensibly politically correct leading men.
Until two days ago, Ben Affleck was mainly perceived as his own worst enemy. Then he issued a statement condemning Weinsteins behavior.
I am saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades, Affleck wrote in part. This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesnt happen to others.
Rose McGowan, who settled with Weinstein after an incident at Sundance in 1997, tweeted that Affleck had more than one chance back in the 90s.
McGowan claimed that she told Affleck directly that Weinstein had attacked her. In a tweet directed to Affleck, she wrote: GODDAMNIT! I TOLD HIM TO STOP DOING THAT! You said that to my face. The press conf I was made to go to after assault. You lie.
Next came videos of Affleck, in 2003 and 2004, groping young female TV hosts. He apologized to one on social media and has since remained silent.
I would also love to get an apology from Ben Affleck who grabbed my ass at a Golden Globes party in 2014, tweeted makeup artist Annamarie Tendler, who said Affleck also pressed his finger into my crack. Her claims were backed up by Jen Statsky, a writer for The Good Place and Broad City.
I was also at this party and multiple friends had this exact same experience, Statsky tweeted.
As shocking as the Weinstein allegations are, his behavior, were often told, is generational. And Weinstein is the latest in a long line of old, rich powerful men

Excellent post.
Streep at her finest when playing opposite apes. She and Weinstein make a good team on so many levels.
As to Dodd taking note of the lay of the land....how could he NOT see what was soon coming? Get the hell out of Dodge while the getting is good.
She (Cher) and fellow crazed leftist (but, I repeat myself) Rob Reiner are still going at Trump, on their Twitter accounts.
Rob Reiner has the audacity to attempt to subtly twist Weinstein into Trump’s EO on 0Care.
Unhinged.
A few years back, one of the tabloids had a short mention in their celebrity sighting section, about a well-known young film star seen shopping in Beverly Hills with his producer for a new suit of clothes. I remember thinking, yeah right, wonder what that’s all about.
Waiting for the DC perv bubble to pop. It’s gonna happen — just a matter of time — tick, tock...........
Maybe Weinstein’s biggest mistake: Though he never knew her and contributed millions of dollars to her, he failed to hire Hillary for her rape coverup expertise.
Nobody in the world is better at that game than Hillary. Of course, it helps to also have an Arkansas “security team” ready to hop on a plane at a moment’s notice.
4chan is all over dan Schneider.
From Wikipedia:
In the novel, Woltz is portrayed as a self-made man who has achieved great success in the film industry, having risen to his position from practically nothing. During World War II, he became the White House’s propaganda adviser, obtaining a large government contract as well as connections to political figures, including J. Edgar Hoover, in the process. He is also a pedophile who routinely molests young girls who audition for his movies, as well some of his actresses’ daughters. (Although this aspect of Woltz’s character is edited from the film, it is made apparent in at least one deleted scene.)
