Whos next?
Now that Harvey Weinsteins reign of sexual terror is over, the answer is, hopefully, several of Hollywoods most durable, liberal, ostensibly politically correct leading men.
Until two days ago, Ben Affleck was mainly perceived as his own worst enemy. Then he issued a statement condemning Weinsteins behavior.
I am saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades, Affleck wrote in part. This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesnt happen to others.
Rose McGowan, who settled with Weinstein after an incident at Sundance in 1997, tweeted that Affleck had more than one chance back in the 90s.
McGowan claimed that she told Affleck directly that Weinstein had attacked her. In a tweet directed to Affleck, she wrote: GODDAMNIT! I TOLD HIM TO STOP DOING THAT! You said that to my face. The press conf I was made to go to after assault. You lie.
Next came videos of Affleck, in 2003 and 2004, groping young female TV hosts. He apologized to one on social media and has since remained silent.
I would also love to get an apology from Ben Affleck who grabbed my ass at a Golden Globes party in 2014, tweeted makeup artist Annamarie Tendler, who said Affleck also pressed his finger into my crack. Her claims were backed up by Jen Statsky, a writer for The Good Place and Broad City.
I was also at this party and multiple friends had this exact same experience, Statsky tweeted.
As shocking as the Weinstein allegations are, his behavior, were often told, is generational. And Weinstein is the latest in a long line of old, rich powerful men

“This is barely skimming the surface of Hollywood perversion. Wait until homosexual pedophilia erupts like a greasy boil on the butt of humanity.”
IMVHO this is what the Hollyweird crowd fears the most.
Corey Feldman has spoken about it for years.
Rob Schneider mentioned it this week.
The dam is starting to leak.
Individuals are speaking up and important people are seeing the light of day shine in their direction.
We're now hearing from women who have "made it" and perhaps had been willing to use whatever tool was at their disposal to get ahead. Not excusing Weinstein or the other Hollywood sleazeballs, but I wonder how many of these women were willing to do anything to get ahead.
It would be more compelling to hear from the women who were propositioned, didn't accept, and lived lives of obscurity as a result of not sacrificing their integrity.
It is far more likely that Liberals will pass a law ALLOWING Weinstein type behavior, just as California now allows HIV positive people to infect all they encounter without penalty.
To those sexually abused child actors in Hollywood: If youre grown up & havent told your story yet, now is the time.
When will a brave woman come forward and say something along the lines of, “Hey, I come from nothing, but once I showed Harvey what was what, I became very wealthy. Harvey loved it, I didn’t mind it. I’m rich. Bite me.”
Excellent question. It seemed odd at the time, but it looks like Dodd had all the MPAA qualifications. Dodd and Uncle Teddy popularized the waitress sex sandwich. Sex-satiated Hollywood musta ate Dodd's three-way up bigtime (pun intended).
============================================
Same question goes for California AG Xavier Becerra. Where in hades is he? Becerra was appointed Cali's Number One Law Enforcer. So why isn't this raging liberal Becerra pulling out (pun intended) his L/E tools to defend all the women Harvey assalulted?
ping to post number 26.
He left the MPAA recently.
Notice this sentence, second paragraph:
We needed someone who has relationships with everyone ....
LOL, something the x-senator attempted to do.
Nice find.
There’s never just one cockroach.
When is the fallout going to land on Bubba and his rape and grope adventures
Burn, Hollywood, burn!!!!!!
That’s why I said “until recently.”
Nevertheless, Dodd was the titular head of the industry while Weinstein was terrorizing its employees. I see no reason why he should be permitted to quietly slink off into obscure retirement. If he were GOP there would be a fleet of satellite tv trucks parked in front of his house and an army of oh so earnest reporterettes screeching very uncomfortable questions at his front door.
I bet River Phoenix could have told some stories.
I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one. Pedophilia in Hollywood is a sacred cow that may not be gored anytime soon. The gay crowd wouldn’t like that at all. And they contribute megabucks to Leftists.
Speaking of Maureen, I wonder if Dowd will weigh in.
The outing and fall of Harvey Weinstein has been “cathartic” and has “purified” Hollywood. Nothing more need be exposed. With even he Left castigating HW the hope is that he will be the end of it and no more sources of Democrat political financing need be destroyed. Mrs Bill et all believe that he is being sacrificed for the good of all and if done noisily enough, will insulate others and allow the covers to stay in place.
I did a search and easily found a story about Dodd and Kennedy. I know nothing!
Time to burn the pink hats, eh Hollywood? Hey Meryl Streep: So Weinstein is your God, eh? What favors did you have to do to give that compliment? How many women were raped by this animal because you turned the other way? What? You didn't know? Oh sure, I understand.
And what about Cher? Haven't heard anything from her recently. Hollywood is a town of gossip, so how come nobody knew? Heck, even the National Inquirer didn't know.
Dodd left the MPAA in September. Did he know what was coming and decide to get out of Doddge?
Nice rant.
Interesting notion about Dodd getting out of Dodge.
Betcha he’s got plenty to hide.
