Tennessee Titans player Rishard Matthews tweeted Thursday that hell quit the NFL if the league implements a rule forcing players to stand during the anthem.
No I will be done playing football, Matthews tweeted and ultimately deleted when asked if he would be willing to face punishment for not standing if a new rule is implemented.
This is a very dumb tweet, for multiple reasons. Matthews is forcing himself into a corner. What will he do if a new rule is passed, and the Titans call his bluff? Hes going to be out of a job that pays millions simply because he wont stand for the anthem.
Thats not smart business. This wouldnt be a problem if he had simply tweeted that hed be very upset, but instead he took it all the way. Should be really interesting to if he ends up following through on his threat or not.
Follow that drinking’ gourd to freedom (and one twentieth of the average salary) in the CFL.
There’s an opening at the Kapernick Car Wash local franchise.
So long suckker.
Don’t let the locker room door hit ya on the way out.
and his half brother.
62 posts and no “well......bye” jpg or gif. Folks we are slipping.
He better learn the words to Car wash... That’s where he’ll be working next.
College career (from wiki)
Rishard originally signed a letter of intent committing to the University of Oregon.[2] Matthews attended Bakersfield College before transferring to the University of Nevada, Reno. In his two years catching passes from Colin Kaepernick at Nevada he had 147 receptions for 2,243 yards and 13 touchdowns. While at Nevada, Matthews was named second-team all-WAC as a wide receiver in 2011. In 2012, he was an honors candidate who was named to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the nation’s top receiver.[3]
Now we’re talking.
Now we’re talking.
About time !!!!
Just took care of that
Buh bye!
Door/ass.
Alrighty then... More winning!
My dad had an employee he had been working for him many years ago that kept asking for a raise every other month or so. He was just a marginal employee to begin with. He always threatened to quit if he wasn't given a raise.
Finally my dad got tired of his BS and called his bluff. He told him the last time he was in his office demanding a raise, that he was sorry to see that he was leaving the company and that he could pick up his final paycheck down at the payroll window on the away out.
My dad said the man's face turned ash white as the realization struck him that he had just put himself out of a job. Now instead of getting that raise he demanded, he was out of the street with nothing to show for it.
So be careful what you wish for and threaten to do, Mr. Rishard Matthews. The world can be much crueler out there than simply showing respect for your country's traditions and playing some football. You might do well to rethink your position and count your blessings. You'll never have it as easy as you have it now.
This display of disrespect by yet another Slum Dog Millionaire will bring on an epidemic of Negro Fatigue Syndrome. NFS which strikes mostly White people but can attack any patriotic American causes its victims to mutter things like “Not this shit again!” and boycott BLM/NFL games.
Completely fine with me. Worked well for Colin
Now these individual players are going to wonder why nobody signs them after their contracts expire.
I believe Rishard Matthews was on the Dolphins at one point. I'm thankful that they got rid of the clown. Boy! Talk about career suicide!
Apparently, when it comes to selfish, divisive individuals disrespecting the flag, there is an "I" in team. This ignorant and misguided young man is about to learn a very costly lesson...
