SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) California Gov. Jerry Brown warns that catastrophic wildfires will keep ripping through the state as the climate warms.
**SNIP**
He said a warming climate has contributed to catastrophic wildfires. Thats the way it is with a warming climate, dry weather and reducing moisture. said Brown. These kind of catastrophes have happened and theyll continue to happen, and we have to be prepared to do everything we can to mitigate.
The governor has positioned himself as a leader in the fight against climate change.

Idiot Mexifornians not clearing underbrush and maintaining adequate firebreaks exacerbates wildfires.
Because somehow Mexifornia lost civil engineering knowledge the Romans had.
Great move, Mexifornia
As long as they’re making stuff up, you’d think every once in a while they’d say, “well, on the bright side, global warming will do such-and-such beneficial thing” just to make the scam more believable but no.
Stupid governors contribute much more.
Old Jerry believes this blather.
Hey Jerry,
If you think back to your days in the Seminary, you may note there is more proof that the depths to which California has turned from God, has wrought the chastisements you now endure.
So how do they like "the look" now?
I would agree on the controlled burns but if you bring this up with folks, they get all hyper that you are causing beauty to disappear.
Ain't nothing more beautiful than thousands of acres, burned to the ground...houses and all....hundreds missing...probably dead.
I suspect environmental whacko policies have more to do with causing the fires to be this severe than anything else.
Liberal Gubinor declares emergency, blames climate change
I know , Moonbeam, maybe if we all lived in caves behind waterfalls.
This guy is a walking bad luck conjurer. This state has been under assault for years. He is the head irritant.
Not building dams and water distribution networks.
Not clearing dead fall and underbrush in built up areas.
Not having a reliable public warning systems.
Has nothing to do with it.
“2. stopped the harvesting of forests
3. no brush clearing”
So did the discontinuance of goat herders releasing their goats on the hillsides of Southern California to browse on the dense underbrush. When this practice of browsing goats stopped the undergrowth flourished, thereby providing great amounts of tinder that would flash when lightning struck or other causes (of fire) were introduced - having readily available tinder to consume.
I suspect that double normal rainfall in Northern California last winter lead to an abundance of brush that is now fuel for the fires.
I certainly hope that Jerry Brown has donated his brain to science so we can discover what has caused him all these actions for a very long time.
Or Cali could disband their air quality board, then let private companies clear out all the dead underbrush and sell it for firewood. That would help lessen the fires, too, as well as not requiring a permit to cut down every goddamn tree.

Global Warming on Free Republic here, here, and here
We may be contributing to some gradual planetary warming, but the real causes of these fires are probably lightning strikes, arson, idiots throwing lit cigarettes out of cars, somebody parking a hot car in some grass, etc.
Cali should hire Asplundh to trim the trees. Asplundh doesn’t care about looks, they’ll decimate the suckers if you tell them to. And to the whiny people, you say, “Tough titties, we thought there were some power lines back there.”
Aside: every time I see that picture, and Kim’s grin, I just know he’s thinking he’s gonna get some extra marital sex right after that event.
Governor Moonbeam needs to be hooked up to a downed power line to see if he gets a clue.
