North Korean special warfare units conducted exercises simulating infiltration of the South Korea-US Joint Combined Forces Command, military sources in Seoul revealed Tuesday.
According to multiple sources, North Korean special forces conducted paragliding training on a number of days in mid-September. It was the first time members of Norths special forces are known to have used paragliding equipment to practice targeting the headquarters of the ROK-US Combined Forces Command.

The Fat Boy may not have any gasoline or diesel for parades or any electricity
Today was supposed to be a day of PARADES in North Korea.
It was also revealed that they had built a model of Seouls Combined Forces Command headquarters on their training grounds to prepare for special warfare situations. They were previously reported to have built a model of South Koreas presidential office for similar military exercises.Pundits here say that the North plans to use paragliders to attack key facilities here, as such equipment is harder to detect at night.
Paragliding is a popular extreme sport and the equipment comes with high mobility, with equipment weighing just 3 to 4 kilograms. As the equipment is easy to control, pundits say it would be possible for the special forces to fold and carry it up mountains to secretly fly into the South.
Ping. I hope this is not an unwanted ping.
With no fuel, it’s paragliding or walking.
Sheesh! I’m a great Trap and Skeet shooter. Give me some night vision goggles, and i’d have fun!
Expect the unexpected but it should be like shooting down geese.
Maybe they will have to steal gasoline from Embassies in the North Korean capital to do that.
isn’t it interesting that these NORK SF’s wear helmets that pattern after US models ?
take out their bases , 1st strike , no warnings
Even if only a few feet off the ground, the US is launching a retalitory strike.
Then broadcast that North Korea had launched a missile that could have hit the West Coast (true).
The last missile launch caused AIR RAID SIRENS to go off in Japan.
That was an act of war to Japan...

Logistics win wars.
While it is possible to build a large inventory of hardware, fuel is a different matter.
How long can you store gasoline or diesel fuel before it turns to sludge?
Does NK have enough fuel for a land invasion of South Korea?
NK may have a large army on paper, they will not get very far with out supplies. Without enough fuel their tanks will be left high and dry. Without enough fuel their supplies will not reach the front line.
While it is true that NK can kill a lot of people, I don’t believe they have the resources for a sustained land offensive.
Factor in the US Combat experience over the past 16 years compared to almost none by the NK they will discover it is not like 1950 when the US allowed its Army to fade away.
China has a lot of money invested in the US as well as holding a lot of US debt. Going to war with the US is not in their best interest any way you look at it.
All in all NK’s leaders would have to be mentally impaired to start a war against the US (having said that, crazy people do crazy things, that is just what they do).
I like to think that if the order is given to launch missiles against the US that someone would shoot “Rocket Man” and put an end to the delusions known as North Korea.
Easy targets.
Turkey shoot!
Paragliding? Have the Norks been watching episodes of McGyver?
Yesterday (October 10) was supposed to be a major anniversary for North Korea. But apparently no parades. I guess they cannot push tracked 50 ton (more) mobile missile launchers.
