The guy who stood for Trump was Thomas Gunderson.

Thanks for the additional info. I’m aware of Pat Caddell. Used to watch him on Fox News, but haven’t watched that network since Obama got elected. He never pulled punches, and criticized the Dems regularly.

Now we have two guys in the tight hallway and only one bullet finds its mark.

Campos and a maintenance worker. Yes, two guys. Evidently, you and I are the only people to think this is a notable development.

It’s not so much as how he got it up there but that no one seemed to be suspicious of that much luggage - and he’s wasn’t even a woman!

What did the cleaning ladies think of 42 suitcases for one guest? Probably the “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” attitude. Hopefully, it’s right in this case.

I hope when I read this thread I didn’t miss it, but has anyone heard of a vehicle being found that he would have used to transport everything?

He moved a gun safe the size of a fridge alone? Even empty, that's a load.

He could have used a dolley, and a ramp to put it in his van.

Depends on the weight of it, of course. A 64-year-old non-athlete, or who isn't a mover, would have a hard time moving a large fridge, let alone a large decent quality gun safe that might weigh 500 lbs or more. Walking backward, pulling the safe up a fairly steep ramp, and then ducking under the roof, and then laying it down would be a real back breaker. If you lose control of it, good luck.

Simple solution.
Ban all freight elevators.

Put them into suitcases or duffel bags with wheels. Wheel a couple bags up to the room. Wait a few minutes. Go bag down, wheel up a couple more duffel bags.

I’ll buy that, but where’s the security cam screen shot showing Paddock rolling a baggage trolley into his room?

Do they use elevators in a fire? That is explicitly forbidden where I stay, but most of the hotels are not high rises.

Modern elevators are designed to go into Firefighter Emergency Operations (FEO) mode during a fire alarm. They are no longer accessible to the public and the cabs are recalled to the building’s floor of egress. The fire dept can utilize the cabs using their own override key to operate the fireman’s switch in the cab.

I imagine it's with all the other thousands of hours of video being reviewed by law enforcement.

If a fire alarm goes off, the elevator should go down to the ground floor and the doors open and stay there unless the smoke detector in the elevator lobby trips on the ground floor in which it will go to the next highest floor, stop and open.

FD has the keys to over ride the stop and can use it for personnel or equipment, but would not ride to the fire floor.

So he was known at the casino, and had used an elevator that is normally not used by the public.

Interesting.

You can almost hear the pen-on-paper scratching sounds as countless attorneys take notes.

This is been posted a million times but there are no cameras around the elevators or in the hallway of the guest rooms only in the lobby, the front entrance and of course on the Casino floor. And I’m assuming why tourists like to go to Vegas they like their privacy. But I guess this one nut is going to ruin that for everyone.

Yes. The officers on 60 minutes said he drilled shut the door to staircase that dumps out into the hallway next to his room. I guess he thought that they would be coming up that way to get thim, but the SWAT guy had a pry bar with him and he popped off the metal sheet easily. According to the cops who were there with the one SWAT guy.

Maybe because he was staying there for like 5 or 6 days before the shooting? They probably thought he needed the stuff for his week stay. Maybe they thought he was going to stay even longer? Remember this is a guy all the hotel casinos knew and have known for years not just a couple days but for years
why would they suspect him of anything nefarious?

No he had 43 or 44 guns in total. 22 I think we’re found in the hotel room, at least half of them were still at his house. And people here who have gun safes say a refrigerator size gun safe is pretty average to small.
