NAPA (CBS SF) Wind-whipped wildfires roared to life Sunday night and early Monday across Wine Country, burning building, forcing evacuations and injuring several people.
The Atlas Peak fire was the largest of several wildfires, quickly growing to more than 200 acres near Napa. Meanwhile, the fire near Calistoga had burned several building and sent several people to the hospital to be treated for burns.
Cal Fire said firefighters were battling several blazes in Sonoma County. The largest was in the area of Porter Creek Road and Petrified Forest Road near Calistoga where mandatory evacuations were ordered for residents along Porter Creek, Petrified Forest, Franz Valley and Mountain Home Ranch Rd.
Early Monday morning, the Sonoma County Sheriffs Department said fires had erupted at Mark West Springs and Riebli roads in Santa Rosa, at Shiloh and Conde roads in Windsor and at Highway 116 and Fredericks Road in Sebastopol.
The fires had stretched Sonoma and Napa counties firefighting resources to the breaking point. A call for mutual aid was issued to other Bay Area fire departments.

Thank you!!
There was one or two...they have been chased away ;)
Moderators, though, have deleted other recent posts that looked like your first post. We'll see how much longer that post of yours will survive.
The same kooky types infest the hurricane threads too. The most obnoxious ones are from cold and/or land-locked locations like Kansas, Michigan, Tennessee. Weird behavior issues.
Know what, you really are on the wrong thread for this type of comment. You are not adding any helpful information to the thread for those looking for information or thoughtful discussion...
This is a Breaking News thread about current raging fires...It is not hyperbole...At least those of us who have family and friends don’t think so...
This is a news thread for people who have family, friends, care about people in harm’s way, care about wine, etc. in the Sonoma area.
I have family in the state and I don’t appreciate the gross stereotyping that some make...so what if a Californian said this or that about Los Vegas??? There are many good conservatives everywhere. Since you don’t seem to care or realize that,
May I suggest that you consider starting your own thread discussing why you don’t feel the need to be supportive or sympathetic to those suffering loss in these fire...I know there are several Freepers who will gladly join you in posting that you are not supportive or sympathetic of anyone living in California, Illinois, or New York.
Several historic structures are gone. Place is never going to be the same.
Sorry to hear that RedStateRocker ((((Hugs))))
We go through it on the hurricane threads too.
Here is a UK Mail story with some pictures and information. My feed dried up :(

I dont wish them ill but forgive me if Im not feeling all supportive and sympathetic to them after some of the utterly sickening comments I both saw and heard from Californians in the aftermath of the Las Vegas massacre.
Substitute "Americans" for "Californians" in that post, and you may see what I think of that reasoning.
I have seen the occasional wish for the destruction of California posted on this site, which is based in the very same state.
Asked him to leave 2 times...hope he is gone. Has a right to express opinions on FR, just wish he would do it on another thread...
So rude!
People want to know what is going on...not why they should not care.

Very sad to see.
We go through it on the hurricane threads too.
Really? Sad...I figured because the hurricanes are typically in red states, you don’t see this kind of comment. I imagine what people are going through with the hurricanes in TX, AL, and FL are similar to the flooding in LA and now the fires here. Just devastating...Cannot imagine how tough it would be to deal with total loss of property—perhaps injury, and worst of all loss of life.
OK THIRD TIME...PLEASE LEAVE...
WHY NOT JOIN MEGAN C WITH A NEW THREAD BASHING CALIFORNIANS...
It’s called kicking you when your down.I reported some and told them.Trolling an info thread is not good.
Asked you nicely to leave those of us who care about this issue alone...
there are hundreds of threads you can post on on FR...yet you and one other seem to feel compelled to continue posting here...where your views are clearly not appreciated....
Why is that????
I suggested you start your own thread...bash away...just not here...you are purposefully disruptive...
So I guess post away MeganC—you are the one who looks ignorant, rude, bitter, and just plain nasty...
