ARLINGTON Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said any players in his organization who disrespect the flag during the national anthem will not play in games.
Jones is the first owner in the NFL to go on record about disciplining players who disrespect the flag during the national anthem. He didnt specify kneeling or raising fists in the arm or other gestures made by players around the league.
Jones made his strongest statements regarding the national anthem protests throughout the NFL after Sundays game against the Green Bay Packers.
If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period, Jones said. Were going to respect the flag and Im going to create the perception of it.

Didn’t he disrespect the flag?
They are down 30%.
That is a bit o’ money.
Well Jerry , Here is a suggestion. Dont honor those “son’s of bitches”By kneeling down with them in tribute to their desecration of our flag before a game and apologize for what ever that was— JACK ASS.
Guess he also sent a memo to the Jap prime minister telling him he will stop buying Jap products if they bomb Pearl Harbor...
Saw the headline of today’s Cowboys game when checking out the baseball scores. Looks like another Cowboy’s choke. Maybe the pink hats were on too tight.
Where were all of the owners (and Goodell) 12+ months ago???
They should have laid down the law at the beginning, and avoided so much b.s.
So what’s Big Ed Bookman got to say now? (See movie SemiTough for reference!)
What a snake. I will NEVER forget the smug look on Jerry Jones face as he linked arms and took a knee with his team. It was clearly nothing more than a giant GIVING OF THE FINGER to patriotic Americans.
So, fu@k Jerry Jones, his team and the NFL.
Last year he said they would be off team. Boiled frog syndrome.
He won’t need to bench players if they keep losing.
They should transform themselves into “NFL Internationale” and play only in other countries. Their revenue streams would evaporate but it would be the right move for all concerned now.
Bingo!
Um, no they haven't.
To my knowledge, not a single Dallas Cowboy player has ever kneeled during the playing of the national anthem before any Dallas Cowboys football game.
There was the one meaningless group kneel before the national anthem last week in response to the President's harsh comments, and that was it—as, as I mentioned, it was before the anthem.
I hope more owners and coaches follow Jerry Jones' lead here. Comments like this from an owner of a top tier team should be very helpful in refocusing players' priorities.
Think about it. If you're a "kneeler" and you have a contract that expires after this year, you can pretty much cross the Cowboys off the list of teams you'll be signing with. Now, suppose a few more owners make similar comments.
Also, there's the example of Colin Kaepernick's fortunes after he opted out of his 49ers contract.
Yes, these developments will definitely cause some elevated thoughtfulness in most players' minds. Upon reflection, marvelous clarity often ensues after the initial "high" of wanton rebelliousness wears off...
They didn’t care. Well, they do now.
To late.
Hey Cam, how is that black power salute working for ya?
Bitch.
No, I don’t think he ever said it. That was a false internet rumor that kept going around but the Cowboys officialdom refused to confirm it, as I recall.

He’s (they’ve) said this before.
Barring that, I won't tune into any NFL games until Jerry Jones kneels at the 50 yard line before the national anthem at their next game ... and sets himself on fire.
Feelin’ the squeeze? Must really be hurting!
