Have a tattoo? If the answer is “yes,” it’s more likely you’re unemployed or completely out of the labor force. On average, your income is lower. You’re more probably a smoker, use illegal drugs, engage in risky sexual behavior, have been a victim of crime, and have been incarcerated for committing crime yourself.

The Bible warns against ‘marking the body’. Foolish humans to spurn His wise commands. I see someone all tatted up my impression of them takes a nosedive. I try not to give it credence or attention but it takes me there anyway on first impressions.

I’m not seeing any profession without tattoos these days. Dancers, hair dressers, sales clerks, bank tellers. I don’t think they are discriminated against. However, those people covered with gang tattoos might have trouble. They can’t speak English very well even if it’s their only language, which doesn’t help.
