Just weeks after James Woods said he was blacklisted in Hollywood because of his conservative views, the Oscar-nominated actor said he was retiring from the industry.
Woods tweeted this summer that he had accepted the fact that he was blacklisted from Hollywood because of his views. He has said being conservative has made it tough to find work in Hollywood the past few years.

Oh grow up. 21 isn’t a pedophile. Who are you to pick his companions?
A good male character actor can work at age 70 and beyond.
Hate to hear that. I would think with all the new content providers out there like Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix someone like Woods would be in demand.
I do notice that while Woods is not getting any acting jobs on front of the camera he has been doing a lot of Video Games voice overs. Don’t know what that pays but it’s something.
Kelsey Grammar, Patricia Heaton, maybe a few others...
Yep. Not your grandfather's FBI.
Start a late night conservative show. Bring back the funny to late night!!!!
He’s perfect for it!
Conservatives such as Woods, the person you mentioned, Tim Allen, etc ought to join forces to re-release Allen’s “Last Man Standing” and other programs and movies.
But this is the ONLY type of woman he dates. A string of girls, all barely legal.
God bless him
Great idea! Ties in to my post #68
“time to start making TV shows with a conservative basis to them”
Just make some movies with no political basis.
Or a movie about Anderson Cooper, Andy Warhol, Woody Allen or
Father Malachi Martin (aide to a Pope).
I spent thirty years in the studios. Discrimination against conservatives started being a factor in the late 90’s.
Isn't that the truth.
He has one of the best Twitter feeds in the entire world.

He verbally kicks liberal rear all day long.
Dating a 26 year old and breaking up with her when her drug problems became obvious doesn’t make you a pedophile.
His GF was 26, he broke up with her when he found out that she was into drugs.
As the technology has evolved, the cost of movie making has dropped. In the period when features were budgeted in the mid millions, Easy Rider was brought in for $360,000. That same thing’s possible now, but the scripts aren’t there and the folks who’d go see them are relaxing at home after a hard day’s work rather than going out to a movie.
There’s a lot of competition among subscription TV services who are doing some of their own flicks. With 400K coming along, the audience that can afford to adopt the new technology first will be well-healed. Maybe at that point one of the streamers, (or even a new one) will see the wisdom in trying to serve the other half of America’s viewers.
One thing to note, though, foreign distribution is a significant revenue source, and foreign audiences skew left.
