And nobody in the crowd could shoot back.
If that were possible, this chap might have thought twice about his fish-in-a-barrel idea. Fish in a barrel that shoot back are not nearly the fun.
He offed himself at the first sign of resistance.
>And nobody in the crowd could shoot back.
Longs gun vs. pistol. Apples & oranges vs. distance/etc.
We’re not talking Orlando nightclub or back-alley hold-up here. Unless anyone carrying was storming the hotel too, not a damn thing they could have done; especially not knowing the conditions of the room/floors around where they HOPED a shot would be placed.
It would depend on how many in the concert crowd had rifles instead of pistols. Pistol rounds would have fallen somewhere short of the hotel and rained into the streets.
If all of the people in the concert crowd had rifles, on the other hand,...there would be 22,000 people firing rifle rounds in the general direction of the hotel and surrounding area.
At 400’ from his shooting platform to the crowd, it would of been quite problematic to return accurate fire at that distance with a handgun, even if they had been allowed.
As E. Pluribus Unum pointed out, he offed himself at the first sign of resistance.
Only a dedicated sniper in the absolute correct location could have done any good. Random shooting back towards the hotel——— NOT!
Is this sarcasm? I sure hope so...because if not...it's pretty stupid. Unless someone in the audience is carrying a scoped rifle...they ain't hitting a guy shooting from 1100' from the 32nd floor.
I cannot IMAGINE 20,000 people shooting back at a hotel full of people not knowing where to really aim at. Much less trying to shoot at a target 320'+ in the air and 1100' away. Talk about carnage!
“And nobody in the crowd could shoot back.

He counted on the democrats “shelter in place” bull shit...eg crouch, lay down etc right in the field of fire.
Sniper ad litem?
” Fish in a barrel that shoot back are not nearly the fun”
I don’t see a practical way to carry something with a 600 yard, upslope range to a concert.
I understand what you are saying, but in this one case I don’t see how that would work.
iread a story that said people broke into police cars to try to get the shotgun unlocked- good intent, but a shotty won’t reach a target 600 yards away uphill.
The monster probably planned that out too.
