The acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Friday slammed Gov. Jerry Brown's decision to sign a law making California a sanctuary for illegal immigrants — and threatened "at-large" arrests as a result.
In a statement, acting ICE director Tom Homan said the sanctuary status for those who've committed crimes "will undermine public safety and hinder ICE from performing its federally mandated mission."
"ICE will have no choice but to conduct at-large arrests in local neighborhoods and at worksites, which will inevitably result in additional collateral arrests, instead of focusing on arrests at jails and prisons where transfers are safer for ICE officers and the community," Homan declared.
"ICE will also likely have to detain individuals arrested in California in detention facilities outside of the state, far from any family they may have in California."
. . . But on Friday, Homan said the law will so "negatively impact" ICE's operations in California that ICE may incidentally arrest others who wouldn't have been targeted.

Because even if we expanded ICE tenfold, we’d not be able to deport them all in a practical time frame. If you talk about it then start doing it, the word gets around and many will flee back to their home countries with zero physical effort needed. Self-deportation is best.
Also, the crimes have been posted on the ICE website and others on a regular basis. The media just hasn’t been covering it.
when someone is murdered by an illegal released from jail and the locals didn’t notify ice, the locals including the sheriff and the city council are complicit in murder. They should be arrested, tried and convicted. In Cal now that would mean LA and SF. The same is true for lesser but violent crimes. Calif wants to challenge everything trump does. do let’s get down to hard ball and see who wins.
The head of the Cal senate Kevin De (added to be more ethic) Leon has admitted half his family re illegals. That means he is complicit in their illegal stay in the US. He should be investigated and indicted.

We all see that this needs to be nipped quickly and it is similar to the NFL-—firing players/ arresting the politicians for harboring criminals - helps both problems.
