That there is no delegated power for it never enters into it. These scum would cease to function if the 10th Amendment were honored as Law.
In horology, regulate means to be accurate and keep time. Or as I interpret it, march in time, take orders and hit your target.

I have no idea what “assault weapon” means - it is a made up term. Further, I don’t “military-type” weapons means. I can’t think of any type of firearm that hasn’t been used by the military. Bolt action 30 caliber rifles are widely used by the military - are those included? Semi-auto rifles are used by the military. Semi-auto handguns are also used by the military. These terms are just an attempt to disarm the American public.
Well Mr. Foster, even if such a law based on your idea were to have been on the books, it likely would have been yet another one that was broken when incidents like Mandalay Bay, the Denver movie theatre, Sandy Hook, Columbine High School, and other such incidents were carried out.

I have seen the term “regulars” used when referring to soldiers, vs an unregulated militia.

I wonder how far Rep. Foster would go to take away those weapons that don’t meet his acceptable criteria? Given time, as far it takes, no doubt. That’s where the left ultimately goes. An unarmed populace is so much easier to subdue.

They explain in detail that the purpose of the militia is to keep the government firmly under the control of the people.
