The Las Vegas gunmans exact location took police 72 minutes to reach after the first 911 call.
Police received the first 911 call regarding Sundays shooting at the country music concert at 10:08 p.m. local time, NBC News reported. By the time, Stephen Paddock was done shooting, at least 59 people were dead and 515 injured.
Officers began their search for the gunman following the call and responders discovered the gunfire was coming from a window of the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino after seeing muzzle flashes, dispatch tape showed, The Mercury News reported.
Police began searching the hotels 29th floor before determining the gunman was on the 32nd floor, NBC News reported.
Authorities, however, eventually located the shooter due to the large amount of smoke from the gunfire, The Washington Post reported.

Lets see, 15 minutes, or 72 minutes...Hmmm
good point
How could they not know? Wasn’t an armed security guard shot through the door within nine minutes?
It took about 11 minutes for LE to arrive at the room and engage. At that point the reign of terror outside was over.
The chronology is sketchy still, and it appears from some reports the perp shot at least one security guard and perhaps one LEO during the hallway gunfight before offing himself.
When was the hotel security agent shot?
No.
It took 13 minutes for them to get to the shooters door.
He shot a Hotel security guy through the door, and probably committed suicide at that point, because the shootings outside the hotel stopped.
The SWAT team blew in the door an hour later. It likely took so long, because the shooter had stopped shooting, so they knew they could take the time to get it right.

And that 9 minute mark jives with the audio recordings that suggest the exterior fire last about that long.
We need more John Mc Clanes and less Inspector Gadegets.
So he wasn’t already getting cold by the time the police arrived?
So no, he wasn't dead for an hour. It seems llike he did what shooting he wanted to do, and waited for law enforcement to arrive. Perhaps he was watching the chaos he created on the ground.
That’s starting to look like a good possibility. A couple of shots were fired at him and he lost his nerve and killed himself. Otherwise, he could have killed many many more people.
WTH?
I didn’t post this thread.
In a chaotic fluid situation such as this, let’s not rush to judgement. The tone of this seems to be that the police and SWAT had some delayed response which cost additional lives of additional victims. Let’s wait and see what comes out of the investigation.
This has already been discounted....more then once.
No way would they wait an hour to enter the room...especially since the guy might be alive. I don’t think SWAT was even there at that time.
This is why there is so little reason to trust Guns Control. Libs advertise so much how it would protect you, and the police response time is too slow, and it would be cops and criminals with the guns too.
With today’s drone technology, they could have reached up and touched him with a big boom. Another instance of the Keystone Cops.
