After federal officials announced today that they saw no nexus to international terrorism in the Las Vegas Strip massacre, the Islamic State doubled down with their claim that Stephen Paddock was theirs -- even granting the Mesquite, Nev., resident a nom de guerre.
ISIS claimed through their Amaq news agency this morning that the "Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State who carried out the attack in response to calls for targeting coalition countries." They claimed he had converted to Islam recently.
They issued the claim in various languages, without evidence to back it up.
The special agent in charge of the FBIs field office in Las Vegas, Aaron Rouse, told reporters, We have determined, to this point, no connection to an international terrorist group."
Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said authorities still don't know the motive of Paddock, 64, who killed himself before SWAT officers accessed his room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay, a perch he used to unleash automatic weapons fire on an open-air music festival kitty-corner from the hotel.
We dont know what his belief system was at this time," Lombardo said.
Yet ISIS persisted, issuing a longer official communique that called Paddock "Abu Abdul Bar al-Amriki" -- the American.
The new statement claims Paddock, specifically answering the call of ISIS caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, conducted the attack after "accurate monitoring of crusaders" in the venue. It offered no further proof.
The "soldier of the caliphate," the communique says, "equipped with machine guns and ammunition" fired on the concert with "600 between killed and wounded until the soldier's ammunition was finished and he became a martyr."
That reflects the most recent toll from Las Vegas law enforcement of at least 58 dead and 515 wounded.
ISIS has in the past claimed attacks that weren't found to be linked to the terror group, including the June attack on a Manila casino that left 37 dead. Shooter Jessie Carlos Javier had problems in his personal life including deep gambling debts, and had been banned from casinos before the attack.
Paddock was known as a high-stakes gambler, though his brother said he had no information on whether the shooter was in financial trouble. We know nothing. If you told me an asteroid fell it would mean the same to me. Theres absolutely no sense, no reason he did this, Eric Paddock said. Hes just a guy who played video poker and took cruises and ate burritos at Taco Bell. Theres no political affiliation that we know of. Theres no religious affiliation that we know of.
If this is Muslim related we’ll never know for fear of vigilante retribution.
I wouldn’t dismiss the claim without investigation.
Abu= father of
Abdul= worshipper
Barr= Scottish?
Al-Amiriki= the American
Sound right?
Only way I see ISIS involved is if the Psychopath used them for some logistical support to achieve his goal.
A true Psychopath would use them not believe them.
Let them release his martyrdom video, like they do with the others.
I’ve read that Vegas down plays crime statistics because they don’t want to lose tourist. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is another case of that. Seems like this guy’s on line profiles were scrubbed early.
What ever happen to that shooter in Oregon who shot up people on campus???? Was he a muslim????
bar would be “from” or “son of”
“If this is Muslim related well never know for fear of vigilante retribution.”
Fear of retribution - you must be kidding.
There have been various acts of terrorism tied to muslims for years and there has been no retaliation whatsoever.
Nine-eleven is the most blatant example. Should have been a call to arms, but instead America did the kumbaya thing; surrendering our rights one by one until today our Constitution is all but ignored (except when it serves the left).
So who do we trust?
ISIS or our deep state FBI?
If that’s a multiple choice question regarding the Vegas massacre and every other Muslim-related event in the US, I’ll take answer A.
He would not have sent anything to ISIS in advance, for fear of compromise by the FBI/NSA etc.
The scene has been more tightly controlled than any I have ever seen. Not even his driver license photo has been released! He could have left Antifa/ISIS literature all over the hotel room, his houses, and on his computer, and we may never know it.
Not unless he mailed out information packets to multiple media outlets. In that case, we might learn the truth. Otherwise, it will always be a mystery.
I trust ISIS, and when is the last time the whore media has demanded proof of an ISIS allegiance?
Abdul means Servant of God

Not sure what Barr means
But “Abu” and “Al-Amriki” sounds right.
Let them release his martyrdom video, like they do with the others.
I said FEAR of retribution. One dead Muslim is one too many for the one world government.
It’s odd because “Bar” is the Hebrew word for son, “ibn” or “bin” is it’s Arabic equivalent. Not sure why they would use “Bar” for a jihadist.
FBI says no. ISIS says yes. We know both lie.
Right now, a lot of us would take A or #1 as the best answer.
Isn’t this a critical question that deals with the lack of integrity our Deep State has had with the American people for decades?
