But remember, thanks to the 1968 Gun Control Act signed by Dem LBJ, Americans lost most of their rights to purchase firearms across state lines, and had to register when they bought both guns and ammo.
Reagan attempted to reform this with the 1986 revision. The machine gun ban was thrown in by the democrats as a “poison pill” to kill the bill. It didn’t.

Tell me about it. I had to leave a cherry Browning Hi Power and Walther PPK behind in Germany when a I returned to the CONUS in 1969 thanks to the rotten SON OF A BITCH Johnson.
