As virtually everyone has noted from the abundant video footage of the incident, it certainly sounds as if the shooter used either fully-automatic weapons or semi-automatic weapons modified (through, for example, a bump fire stock) to closely simulate automatic fire. Moreover, the police are reporting that he had “more than 10 rifles.” He apparently rented his corner room for days and may have even set up cameras to detect when police were approaching. That’s all strange enough, but it’s even more unusual when you consider that his own family apparently didn’t know that he maintained a stockpile of guns.

Put all this together, and the shooting is flat-out bizarre. It’s significantly different from virtually any other mass shooting in U.S. history. If the weapons were fully automatic, then he likely would have spent immense sums of money to obtain them legally, jumping through extensive legal hoops.

So, a person who’s “not a gun guy” has either expended untold thousands of dollars to legally purchase fully-automatic weapons, somehow found them on the black market, or purchased and substantially modified multiple semi-automatic weapons — and did so with enough competence to create a sustained rate of fire. This same person also spent substantial sums purchasing just the right hotel room to maximize casualties.

Given the firepower and the packed mass of people, it’s easy to see how the casualty count was so high, even firing from an extreme range (by the standards of mass shootings.) This was the University of Texas tower attack on steroids, conducted out of nowhere, with meticulous planning and at great expense, from a person who doesn’t seem to fit any normal profile of a mass shooter. There is much we have yet to learn, but for now, this is one of the most chilling and mysterious events I’ve ever seen.

Understood—but there are a lot of pieces of that situation that don’t tie together...the Vegas “shooter” and many folks in LV are dead as well. That does not validate the “official” explanation.
Frankly I am no fan of LV and with Halloween not that far away look for LV to go for the haunted happenings. LV is simply a freaking place.
How about the “Everyone Must Check In” sign? Or the one Dad caught on camera playing the role of FBI guy? Where was all the blood? Why were some of the kids at the Super Bowl a few years later? Or the comment from the coroner - “I hope this doesn’t come crashing down on the people of Sandy Hook.” Simple questions go unanswered.

If a 308cal. was used then one round could easy kill or wound 3 maybe even 4 people... The first volley sounded like maybe 50 rounds.... In a tightly pack crowd, that's could be lot damage...
Even a 223cal. could injure more then 1 or 2 folks...

One more thing I can’t stress enough. Every time you bring up SH, someone will come on and say they know someone who lost a child at SH, or a cousin knows someone who lost a child at SH. It has started to become a joke on the internet. No proof, just a lot of talk.

As late as yesterday afternoon I was hearing on the TV news both that the guy killed himself and was killed by police...

Yes! I’ve been grumbling that very same thing to my poor husband every time something like this happens....
So a medical examiner cracking jokes the day after the shooting is normal to you Texas?
How about the father who, whithin 24 hours is laughing on cnn cameras before doing an interview, is that normal to you?
Or the parents who smiled through the interview after using sharpies to write graffiti on their daughters coffin, normal?
How about all the parents who fake cried without a single tear, normal as well?
How about all the parents setting up “go fund me” accounts? Exactly what are we supposed to be funding? Is this normal to you?
How about the mother, who, when asked if Christmas was hard, responded by saying, “well, yes and no”.
How about going on tv hours or days after you just lost your loved one, normal?
How about accepting autopsy photos to identify your lost child, normal right?
We used to be able to call out this BS. But now, SJW like yourself want to shame everyone into believing their lies.
I have no idea what happened that day at SH, but I do know the story that was fed us is not the truth.
