Berkeley students shut down exam, demand 'take-home' instead

Leftist students at the University of California, Berkeley recently attempted to shut down their own mid-term exam, demanding a take-home exam in its place.
As seen in a video posted on YouTube, four students demanded a “take-home essay with significant time to prepare” instead of the scheduled in-class exam, though Professor Harley Shaiken adamantly refused their request.

If I were looking to hire someone for my business, a candidate showed up with a degree from Berkley they would definitely be passed over for it....no way.

I doubt they know what they’re asking for. I never had a take home in undergrad. In graduate school I did, and they are far harder than regular closed book exams.

I remember my final in a semiconductor physics class. It was part in-class closed book and part take home. The in-class was relatively painless. The take home took well over a day (24+ hrs) to complete.

Jeff Jr is doing his post grad at Berkeley in STEM. he doesn’t see any of this stupidity. honestly this is 1 or 2 special snowflakes who are unemployable anyway and not indicative of Berkeley as a whole.

My wife's father had to attend an underground school where the penalty for being caught studying was to be shot or shipped to a camp to be gassed.
