Bud Lights brand parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev one of the NFLs biggest sponsors is rethinking their NFL sponsorship, and they want your input.
The NFL player protests of the National Anthem have backfired in a major way on the league. It has seen sponsors pull out, ratings decline and teams play in front of practically empty stadiums.
In the wake of increased national anthem protests, Anheuser-Busch is reconsidering their NFL sponsorship, likely because the protests are very unpopular among everyday Americans. Bud Light currently serves as the official beer of the NFL.
At the end of 2015, the company extended its current deal, which is slated to expire at the end of the 2016-17 season, for another six years through the 2022 season, but that might all change very quickly.
So the company set up a hotline for fans to call and give their thoughts about the protests and Anheuser-Buschs sponsorship of the NFL. The number for the hotline is: 1-800-342-5283.
I agree with your points, but how is the NFL a monopoly if I DON’T NEED OR AM REQUIRED TO WATCH IT?
Just asking.
BTW, I left a message with Anhauser Busch, telling them I’d love to see them drop the NFL.
You can’t hide what’s common knowledge.
And that’s all I’ll say about that.
It’s a monopoly because it controls the supply of the product. That’s all that’s required to make it a monopoly. Unlike the utilities, people have the option of doing without their product, but they’re still a monopoly.
Because of their dominance, it makes it hard for any other supplier of professional football to compete with them. It may even be what economist refer to as a natural monopoly which means that even if competition is forced upon it, market forces in the industry tend to favor one supplier over many, and they will gradually revert back to a single supplier.
No call from this phone, no beer drinker here.
When called, did you find them wise enough; persons hired to answer the magnitude of the calls? Were you asked to leave your message? How about hit the 1 key for ‘do not agree and 2 key for agree. And, last but not least - were you asked if you spoke any language other than English and making your choice of language.
“Considering”, though better than nothing, is still a weak response.
“GOD, keep that Flag flying where we last saw it”
Given A-B’s response to the Shilling decision I doubt they have any serious thoughts of dropping NFL sponsorship. Remember, it’s not an American company any more....
I tried to call them this morning. All circuits were busy...
////////////////
That’s a good thing. Lots of irate fans calling. I called 9:50 pm ET got right through
At the very least the price paid for the ads etc should be 50% after the lawyers beat the hell out of the NFL
I agree the NFL is hurting themselves since they could put their foot down and ban all kneeling and other nonsense...
*****************************************
The NFL already has a rule that requires players to stand with their helmets under their left arms, etc., during the anthem.
Goodell and the owners just are not enforcing the rule.
The rule has been posted numerous times here on FR in recent weeks. I haven’t seen any of the TV media show the text.
Thats when the fun is really going to start.

As in the age old question
Why don’t you see many Whites walking down a street named Martin Luther King Ave?
will morph to
Whites are showing their TRUE RACISM by boycotting NFL games and the Black players. HIDDEN down on page 13 will be the list of assaults on BonW in the parking lots after the games.
Then if the Police refuse to ‘work’ the games in ‘those neighborhoods’ one can imagine complete WHITE FLIGHT from the stadiums and the hood people can watch the millionaire hoodlums on the field.
Sounds like a plan.
I called and left a voice message. It wasn’t a survey — which I liked— just spoke my mind.
Told them I’d be buying some Budweiser if pull their advertising.
I think if they were to pullout they couldn’t make the beer fast enough to supply demand.
Hey Bud, do the right thing.
Is my thinking off, when I have seen this NFL self-destruction from the moment I saw pink NFL uniforms/shoes?
I literally thought, this will not end well.....
So their stunt was an illusion only. The cost to them was only the necessity of access to recording devices in order for customers to state their fury. After which, the recording devices were sold, at discount, due to the fact they were ‘used’
Pretty cool cats, these beer cellars. (pun intended)
Beer drinkers should feel safe. They peed on your leg rather than bottling it to sell to you.
Stay dry, AMERICA.
The Bud Clydesdales have WAY more class than the kneelin’ numbskulls. They are gorgeous.
Oh hell no,
These companies that continue to advertise with the nfl ought be boycotted, or dixie chick em.
These overpaid a holes insult you and your country and you will continue supporting those backing this crap?
I think not.
Besides, go out and find a good craft beer and turn your wallet away from the nfl supporters
Yes, support local American-owned brewers. They make tasty, lighter lagers and pilsners, too.
Bud/Busch/other AB are not American-owned. Make it cost to be NFL-affiliated.
Remember when Hillary wanted to be president so she started out by asking opinions as to what she should stand for.
If they do (end sponsorship) I will buy a 6 pack of bud light. Haven’t purchased bud in decades.
