Former Google engineer Anthony Levandowski is emerging from the shadow of a self-driving lawsuit to create a robot god.
The present continues to take inspiration from science-fiction author Isaac Asimovs visions of the future. In The Last Question, Asimov conceived of an artificial intelligence project known as Multivac. Its purpose was to solve for the inevitable heat death of the universe, but in the end, it becomes that answer.
Levandowski seems to have taken that story very closely to heart. His newly founded Way of the Future organization, whose filings were first uncovered by Wired, exists to develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on artificial intelligence and through understanding and worship of the Godhead contribute to the betterment of society.
Yes, you read that right. To quote Wireds Mark Harris, God is a bot, and Anthony Levandowski is his messenger. At least, that is the plan.

Rev 13:15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Good. Maybe this AI can stop Skynet.
Sounds a lot like a lake of fire to me, even though it means the opposite to the learned men.
Heaven and earth shall pass away but my Word endures forever.
Heaven~space/time, earth~matter, smell the coffee folks, this IS a creation, we are AI. If you don't find Him, you will endure heat death.
ROMANS 2:18-23
18 But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualitiesHis eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldnt worship Him as God or even give Him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
Welcome to Mindhead.
Fat comic book guy makes robot: film at 11.
“There is nothing new under the sun,” as Ecclesiastes 1:9 stated long ago. Man has made his own gods from the beginning of time, beginning with Satan, who decided to be his own god. Man is fearful of God Almighty and instead want a god he can control.
Delusional nerdery bump for later....
I think we’ve added to the Whitman’s sampler of sexual perversions: ROBOSEXUAL.
PS - Maybe s/he’ll get AI’d from a turkey baster.
Just as a robot cannot have emotions, a robot cannot have religion.
The computer program can be programmed to simulate what onlooking humans will mistake for emotion or for religion.
Emojis are popular. They are a few lines inside of a circle, and humans interpret them as conveying an emotion. My point: it doesn’t take much for humans to decide that something without life is conveying an emotion.
Which religion will they “give” the robots? I hope it’s not you-know-what! Then the robot would kill all robots that don’t have the same religion and blow itself up in the process.
There ain’t no ‘deus’ in a machine!
Galactic warming!
The robot doesn't need to have religion. It's people who will worship the robot.
Maybe not........
