GREEN BAY, Wis. -- On Thursday night, Green Bay Packers players say they will be linking arms in unity during the national anthem just like they did at Sunday's game. And quarterback Aaron Rodgers hopes fans will do the same.
"This is about equality. This is about unity
and starting a conversation around something that maybe a little uncomfortable for some people," Rodgers said.
Packers fan Meghan Kempen is not a fan of the protests.

What is it they want to unify about?

So... they think the fans are stupid? They can now say "see, we stood like you wanted... but we're linking arms in our unity against the racist horrible country you call USA
Will the fans be dumb enough to buy this approach?
To: HypatiaTaught
is this what happened? no one in the stadium linked arms?

Eff the holding hands BS, during American national anthem...Start singing the North Korean national anthem
Hand holding in the lil kim regime and lbgt pride parades is pretty standard fare. Maybe it's just now catching on in the NFL. Seems a lot of teams trying to get fans in a kumbayah moment.

starting a conversation around something that maybe a little uncomfortable for some people," Rodgers said. You mean like, people admitting that Trevon Martin and Michael Brown were thugs and that their killers acted in self-defense?

I saw a twitter feed showing the crowd...
Many shots of the crowd looked normal, like free standing people with hands over their hearts.
Then there was one shot UP CLOSE of a few fans who linked arms, around 7 or so.
The Majority of fans refused to engage in the arm linking.
ONLY the players truly linked arms... But if they keep this up, it will show just how controlled the players are.

As far as I am concerned, the NFL, its owners and players/coaches can all go to hell. Even if these idiots start paying appropriate respect to the anthem and flag, I want their tax loopholes closed, their subsidies removed and that 9B dollar business to start paying taxes. They have skated far too long with the help of politicians. Time to make the NFL pay its fair share.

The Packers stood with arms linked. Not good enough. It’s still a symbolic demonstration that co-opts the national anthem.

If they linked arms they may as well sat on the bench.
They don’t even know what they’re doing. What are the parameters? When do they go back to the old way. When the world is perfect? Dumbasses.
Happy to be baseball only. Go Tribe, Nats, and Yankees!!
