The Department of Justice announced Thursday it has filed a lawsuit against a Colorado corporation for allegedly discriminating against U.S. workers.
The complaint alleges that in 2016, Crop Production discriminated against at least three United States citizens by refusing to employ them as seasonal technicians in El Campo, Texas, because Crop Production preferred to hire temporary foreign workers under the H-2A visa program.
In the spirit of President Trumps Executive Order on Buy American and Hire American, the Department of Justice will not tolerate employers who discriminate against U.S. workers because of a desire to hire temporary foreign visa holders, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement.
Where there is a job available, U.S. workers should have a chance at it before we bring in workers from abroad.

This is widespread, I hope there are a whole lot more to fall.
Disney, Microsoft, Facebook..gosh, it’s endless. Sessions needs to get to work,
XLNT
Yawn. Let me know when they go after the big meat packing companies.
It looks like Sessions is getting to work. It took time to get confirmed and then to clean out his corner of the swamp. It does seem that there haven't been leaks from Justice lately.
It just might be that AG Sessions is going through things methodically and carefully, and taking on the most obvious wins first.
H1-B and OPT both need to be eliminated until US citizens get back to work.
Seasonal technicians. I thought they were talking about Santa’s elves. What’s technical about picking lettuce?
I thought the whole point of the visa program was to bring in workers that we didn't have in the US?..........

WINNING!
Wow! You really know how to piss a guy off...{:-)
Point out a meat packing company in post 10.
Basically you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Before making a snarky reply, point out the packing company in post 10.
I wonder if they hire illegals, also?
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Post 10 is about “highly skilled” H1B legal employees. Meat packing plants don’t hire a lot of those. It doesn’t count low skilled illegal aliens, which meat packing plants hire lots of. You even have had midwestern meat packing plants posting help wanted ads in newspapers thousands of miles away, along both sides of the US-Mexico border.
That’s why I said he had no idea what he was talking about.
#Winning.
