Here's how Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals handled national anthem
San Diego Union Tribune ^ | 9/25/17 | Abby Hamblin

Owner Jerry Jones joined his team in taking a knee. The Cowboys then stood up and linked arms for the national anthem.

The Dallas Cowboys all took knees on the field and the Arizona Cardinals linked arms across from them before their Monday Night Football game, a move that followed a closely-watched Sunday in which NFL teams and their owners rebuked President Donald Trump’s criticism of athletes protesting during the national anthem.

At this point, the effort is to pacify the newly minted football haters.

Sorry, dfwgator. I thought you wanted to fight to keep the NFL. Glad we agree!

The NFL can go away (please!), who gives a $hit? And good riddance!

"The whole episode has been rather stupid, to be honest."

Never served in the military, did you? If you had, it wouldn't seem so stupid, civilian.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Yeah I get that part and it’s not going to pacify anyone, IMO.

I don’t think they gave a thought to how the BLM thugs would react. BLM will not be happy with how the owners are trying to calm the waters.

I believe this is going to get feisty now...

Not after what NFL Commissioner Goodell said. Besides, they’re kneeling to BLM.

Exactly how I feel! Perfectly said!
I haven't been a fan of Jerry Jones for years but actually had hope, he would do the right thing as he previously said. What the heck was that. Kneel then stand. OK. Completely ignorant. Football is apparently about themselves and the the all mighty dollar.

Are you totally clueless? Because I actually know something about the history of the league I would “curl up and die” without it? Figures.

Originally the game had a rounder ball, forward passes were not allowed and the game resembled rugby more than modern football.

Nope. Sorry. They took a knee and locked arms (can’t put their hands on their hearts). Can’t do half-ies. This Texan is finished with the Cowboys and the entire NFL. Done with pretty much all professional sports (baseball, basketball) and their over paid players. Same with Hollyweirdos.

Yesterday and tonight has been a mad scramble by many teams for some safe middle ground that doesn’t exist concerning this issue.

Yes. The problem with sitting on the fence is you get big splinters.

Down the drain.....

I haven’t seen any posts saying this.

How about boycotting the TV Sponsors if they don’t tell the NFL owners and players to go to stop disrespecting America and our Flag.

or this is going to happen...

From what I hear kneeling started by BLM against police. Whatever, it certainly is a statement of disrespect for the country, the fans and God.

I’m sorry. But when looking at the picture of the Cowboys linking arms standing in a straight line, I think of the Rockettes. Did the Cowboys then start kicking their legs while going back to the sidelines?
