MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore, also known as the “Ten Commandments Judge,” is maintaining his lead in the polls ahead of Tuesday’s primary runoff election despite President Donald Trump’s appearance at a rally on Friday for his opponent, Luther Strange.

The data analytics group Optimus, which conducted a poll on Friday and Saturday, has Moore at 55.4 percent versus Strange at 44.6 percent. An Emerson College Polling Society survey found its results to be similar, with Moore at 50 percent versus Strange at 40 percent. A Big League Politics-Gravis Marketing survey has the margin a bit tighter, but with Moore still leading 48 to 40 percent.

Go, Roy Moore. The people will choose you because you tell the truth.

The people will speak. But the GOP still won’t listen. It never does.

If Alabama does the right thing and embarrasses Mitch McConnell (by choosing Moore), they will be the toast of conservatives for the foreseeable future. Think of how highly Dave Brat and his district are regarded for showing Cantor the door. Alabama will occupy a similar place of honor.

Please come through for us, AL. The swamp creatures need a fresh wakeup call.

The GOP at least temporarily listened to Cantor’s defeat. That is what saved us from amnesty.

Good. Trump has checked off a favor for Mitch and will get nothing in return from him, though.

Good news. This is as much about sending Mitch a message as it is electing Moore.

I say send Roy Moore because he will stink the place up a bit. Probably will vote 99.9999% the same as Strange would, but he will not countenance crap from the Democrats. To get a preview, see the Washington Post which featured recordings of Moore from the campaign trail where he exhibited things as outrageous as...dare I say it...belief in the Bible! Someone as principled and direct as Moore is like a Martian to the folks inside the beltway. He will support Trump and vex the enemies in the media. Perfect man for the job!

Then, there is that saying, “One man, plus truth, is an army!”

Trump backing of strange is phony. Does anyone even remember what he said friday evening in support of luther? No, because Trump uttered his nfl comments. This way moore wins and the establishment cant say Trump has supported them. Schmarty pants President!

Good point. After the NFL comment , everybody forgot about Trump’s “endorsement” of Strange.

There were actually quite a few Moore supporters at the Trump rally to see Trump. They were polite and respectful so most would not have noticed them.

That, plus Moore’s election/Strange’s defeat might get congress off the dime re the Obamacare repeal. If so, we will never be able to say enough good about the voters of AL.

Good, I just hope it holds. I think Roy is having a rally tonight with some big names including Sarah Palin.

yeah, first Judge Moore has to become a Senator then he can replace Mitch McConnell as the Majority Leader. Wouldn’t the DC establishment crap if that ever happened?
