Alejandro Villanueva, a Pittsburgh Steeler and U.S. Army Ranger veteran who deployed three times to Afghanistan, was the only Steeler to leave the Steeler's locker room to go to the field to show his respect for the anthem, the flag and those who have served, are serving and who have died defending the American way of life.
The rest of the team stayed in the locker room to avoid controversy.

As long as these teams, players, management and league allow these pathetic displays of anti Americanism, no military unit, no police unit, no sheriff department, no military school, no fire department or any other organization that respects this country should support the NFL in their anthem ceremonies. Just now on News Channel 8 in Tampa, they were interviewing an official from the Tampa Transit commission about making improvements to the mass transit systems around Tampa Bay.Out of the blue the reporter asks him if he thinks Trump’s “divisive” tweets about the NFL would negatively impact the already troubled mass transit system in Tampa. REALLY? If this idiot interviewed members of some local knitting club, I bet he would’ve asked them how they think Trump’s “incendiary” tweets would negatively immpact the price of yarn.
Canada might be too white for them.

Who has freedom of speech on his/her job? Who wouldn't be fired if we didn't use good judgement and discernment and 'hold our tongue' sometimes. Pampered princes think they're special.
1. The NFL has come down HARD on players making disparaging remarks about gays - even on the player's own social media. What they defend and what they are willing to let be abused tells me all I need to know about the senior NFL management.
2. There was another fellow that did some fighting for civil rights - and he NEVER disrespected the flag or the national anthem even once - Dr. Martin Luther King. And he did more to advance civil rights then all of these attention seeking babies ever will.
He stands with 63 million others!!
