Sexton is right. The very “forgotten people” who showed up to vote for Trump (and literally shocked the $#!^ out of the liberals) are the very people who will be incensed by this.
From a political perspective, this will solidify and expand Trump’s base.
Not the Republican base, though. I’m guessing most of the Republicans will remain cautiously silent on this issue for fear of being called “racist” or something.
