Statement From NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell 2017 REGULAR ENGLISH
The following statement is in response to President Donald Trumps comments last night...
STATEMENT FROM NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL
The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture. There is no better example than the amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural disasters we've experienced over the last month. Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.
Good. Tell all the players who refuse to stand for the national anthem to quit their jobs and get back to those "communities."
I'm with President Trump on this one, and so are a lot more Americans than you'd ever want to admit.
I hope that President Trump sets Goodell on fire.
Time to go all scorched earth on these bastards.
I hope that President Trump sets Goodell on fire.

What’s funny is that those po’d because of the disrespect being shown by people who have NO clue(for the most part) what living under oppression is like are not watching. Then, you have the fasctifa types who have declared war on the nfl because of the way the pampered privileged assclowns are being treated are also not watching. No wonder the Thursday night game had about half a stadium full. I like it.
Bring back Pete Rozelle!
Yea Roger, cause disrespecting our flag, our country, our veterans, and the American people isn’t divisive. Jackass.
In a couple of years, NFL owners are going to be staring at the shattered remains of their franchises and wondering what the He!! happened.
The NFL had better stop talking about extending Goodell’s contract. The owners should get their act together, take a hard line on the anthem protests, and kick Goodell to the curb.
His professional sports league just got a humiliating public rebuke from the President of the United States last night. He has to say something in response, even if he knows damn well that President Trump was right.
The unis that the Rams and 49ers had to wear Thursday is reason enough to fire Goddell
an insulting and AWFUL statement even just considering that it is his job to salvage and promote NFL....
now we can plainly see what was or should have been, at least, obvious
the sickness in the NFL is not confined to a few players,
it is RIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE SH*Tpile!
NFL...GTH!
DJT should disallow the military from continued participation in NFL celebrations while the players disrespect the national anthem. Do NOT give the NFL patriotic cover while it permits its employees to trash America.
He had to say something, but he should not have poked the lion. He should have simply affirmed the “values” of the league and nation blah blah blah.... now he has given President Trump reason to take him on more directly and it will not end well for Goodell and the NFL.
> Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL... <
Huh? The NFL is just a bunch of grown men playing a child’s game. It’s often good entertainment, but it’s just a game. The NFL is not the U.S. Marines.
Goodel’s statement above is just as silly as someone demanding respect for the game of tick-tack-toe.
Go to the NFL website and leave them a note! I just did.
How about just doing it rather than yacking about some inclination.
Goodel is finished.
Brady got his revenge. Now it’s Trump’s turn.
Trump ought to do something notable in place of having these sports teams, such as creating a new award for top scientists in specific fields, and inviting them to the WH as part of a national “science team” each year.
Something that says, don’t look at these spoiled and stupid millionaires, look at these smart and educated leaders who are contributing to the health of society and advance of knowledge.
>>>”Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.”
Truly a moronic statement. The fan base is declining for your exact reasoning, finger-point at yourself. Clean house!
