Robert Muellers sprawling special-counsel investigation is playing hardball.
It was not enough to get a search warrant to ransack the Virginia home of Paul Manafort, even as the former Trump campaign chairman was cooperating with congressional investigators. Muellers bad-asses persuaded a judge to give them permission to pick the door lock. That way, they could break into the premises in the wee hours, while Manafort and his wife were in bed sleeping. They proceeded to secure the premises of a man they are reportedly investigating for tax and financial crimes, not gang murders and Mafia hits by drawing their guns on the stunned couple, apparently to check their pajamas for weapons.

Makes you wonder who killed Seth Rich. A regular old assassin or a regular old government employee/contractor.
That wouldn’t totally surprise me.
Actually one would expect Manafort’s house to be brimming with notes as he was preparing testimony for the Senate Intel Committee that very morning. This was a case of the Special Counsel interfering with a congressional investigation.
Depends on the judge.
Mueller is looking for a Fina Cual crime to pin on Manafort connecting a Russian business or bank however tenuously to the Trump campaign. They will be satisfied with musing Trump’s hair prior to the re-election campaign so they can peel-off white female suburban voters (that went for Trump last time).
“Financial”
Ok, you're convinced nothing is going to happen except maybe Manafort will be charged with something? Well explain what Mueller is doing with his grand jury; his posse of Democrat lawyers; his outrageous assault on Manafort's house; his demand for White House documents; and the Trump-damaging leaks coming from his operation? All this while our supposed good-guy AG looks the other way, and his deputy, Rosenstein, allows Mueller to do any damned thing he pleases.
You think my suspicion of all this is unwarranted and an "idiotic rant?" What to do you have to ease my suspicion?
Have you read your tagline?
Not readable. Warning: Mind freeze!
[Were in Banana Republic country now.]
Absolutely. Democrat Banana Republic.
Trump is “allowing” this because Congress won’t help him in any way. They’re making a law against firing Mueller and if Trump dared to fire Mueller they would impeach him now for abusing the justice system.
Last night Lou Dobson said that VP Pence is acting strangely, now promising things that “he” will do and excluding “we”. Is he assuming Trump will soon begone?
When I owned a business that made classified items for the US military none of it ever came home with me in any form. I sold that business but keep the division of information intact.
With the vengeance that Mueller clearly has for Manafort were I him I would of been doing my prep work for Congressional testimony in my attorney's office.
Excellent point.
Correction - the Left and the GOPe are out of control.
With “sources” I’m sure.
BTW, has one single story QUOTED Manafort on the “breaking” of his house??
I’m beginning to wonder if that story is “cheese in the maze.”
For now. He will wind up behind bars. Thanks bitt.
“What would have happened if Hillary Clintons very real email scandal with its mountainous evidence of felony mishandling of classified information and destruction of government records had been investigated with the no-holds-barred vigor Mueller and his band of Hillary donors are applying to the surmise of Trump collusion in Russian espionage?”
We would not have a fraction of the political national security leaking we have today.
Government employees would actually be scared of what would happen to them for betraying their oath.
