Being from West Virginia, Rep. Manchin has had to push back against the coastal Democratic machine from time to time, but this round, the Dems may have gone too far and might be losing one of their Representatives to the Republican side.
Weve already seen that the Governor of West Virginia, Jim Justice, was willing to switch to the Republican side of the aisle, making his announcement at a Trump rally.
Now, its looking like Rep. Joe Manchin might do the same. Democrats have already lost the state, both in terms of their wide support for Trump and the loss of the Governorship to the Republicans.
Governor Justice has now endorsed Rep. Manchin for re-election in 2018. And with a Senate vote next week that might overturn ObamaCare, Joe will be put to the test. If Rep. Manchin added his vote to pass the Graham-Cassidy bill, he would instantly be lauded for his work in bringing that bit of Republican-promised legislation closer to the Presidents desk for approval.

Too bad he’s not in the Senate. He could switch out McCain.
Ronald Reagan was a democrat at one time..
Yes
Mostly the mourners will consist of journalists, reporters, talking heads, photographers, and such like; all talking at each other, taking selfies while being interviewed by TV anchors and anchoretts.
And I am sure the GOP-e is dumb enough to go for it.
He will never vote Conservative on any key vote
I don’t trust this guy. Let the RATs keep him.
OK, Joe, show us you mean it by not only voting for Linda Grahamnesty’s partial O’care repeal, but by bringing at least ONE of your Dem colleagues along (on the vote, not switching parties).
I am skeptical - he’s been anti-gun and pro-union, and all of the rest of the Dem/Leftist talking points for quite a while, with little to distinguish himself from them other than running scared a bit near an election.
Prove it, Joe!
Author doesn’t understand the difference between a Senator and a Representative, and uses the terms interchangeably.
Manchin is in the SENATE and so is not “Rep.” but rather “Senator” Manchin.
“So, well have another democrat in the Republican Party. This is good?”
If he is willing to vote with Trump for the next 3 years, yes.
Yes, another Democrat in the Republican Party is good because it is better to have someone who votes with you some of the time rather than one who votes en-block all the time. All the Dems vote the same way, all the time. The party of diversity has no diversity.
If he flips it will mean we can lose 4 Republican Senators on any given vote and still carry a bill with Pence breaking a tie.
I hope he does it, votes for Graham-Cassidy and then McCain can ESAD
Doesn’t Munchkin say he is considering this about once a year?
DC unlawful on either side. Return to USConstitution or perish.
Why not? Manchin can be a do nothing Republican, get reelected and let the Dems do all the heavy lifting advancing the progressive agenda?
And the prick wanted you to do a background check on your wife before you gave her a gun. Him and the Toomey douchenozzle.
Linda Grahamnesty has predicted that at least one DemocRAT will vote Yes on Graham-Cassidy. Maybe this is what he was talking about.
Whatever....we have lots of R dems, and the dems still run things.
Ooh, change parties, look at meeeee! S/
We’re really gonna role back the big bad ol government now.
We just need a larger majority of friggin phony Rs YAy.
Really, what difference would it make? With Linda Graham, McCain, the Maine Senator, we already have Democrats in the party..
I know Manchin hates the Republicans. But let me tell you why.
He hates the Country Club, Establishment, Elitist Scum, basically everyone that we hate.
He is one of the old Democrats.
Remember, Reagan used to be a Democrat. West Virginia has always been 40-50 years behind.
He can be turned if he understands he is there to not join the Republican Party but to be part of the takeover to force out the people we all hate.
Just askin....how could someone from Washington know so much about Joe Manchin and WV politics?
