A woman in Texas berated Hobby Lobby last week for selling cotton as a decorative home accessory.
This decor is WRONG on SO many levels. There is nothing decorative
about raw cotton... A commodity which was gained at the expense of
African-American slaves.
A little sensitivity goes a long way.
PLEASE REMOVE THIS "decor".
Daniell Rider posted her complaint to the craft stores Facebook page:

A little sensitivity goes a long way.The post received close to 15,000 shares and 160,000 comments. The user, Daniell Rider, then received backlash for her sensitivity and responded to her critics:
PLEASE REMOVE this decor.
All those who are offended by cotton being a decoration need to quit buying any product made of cotton! And other users quickly came to her defense, one adding:
What difference does it make if its a decoration or part of a product. Youre being hypocritical if your offended by cotton being a decoration and not offended by any product made of cotton.

Cotton Lives Matter
Dude... The trees. What about the trees!?!? Oh, and the metal staves, those are right out. Exploiting the earth by mining raw materials for the metal and killing trees. No barrel for you.
Never. I wear all cotton, linen, and wool if I can get it. Yeah, I still iron my clothes. HATE polyester bein hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Don’t trust most other garbage. I do love silk in the winter cause its warm. You gotta figure it keeps the bugs warm.
What are hair braids made of? Ban them, they’re clearly sucking what little intelligence remains in there right out of they heads.
You forgot to mention that breathing produces CO2 and is thus destructive to the environment.
No F RIED CHICKEN!!
No MORE OKERA!
NO WATERMELON1 NO CHITLINS!
NO FRIED TOMOTOES OR GUMBO!!
IS RASIS! RASIS!
I would like to see Democrat legislators in California take up this very important issue. If California leads the way in prohibiting the cultivation and sale of cotton and, even further, bans the possession of cotton in any form, then all the rest of the states will surely be shamed into following suit and this terrible wrong can be finally righted.
No wood either, that’s destruction of trees and profit for big barrel making.
When it comes to running clothes, it’s always said that “cotton is rotten.” Cotton running socks are the worst.
white people picked cotton too, that objector is a dimwit par excellence
Thinking outside the box a little, but what if it is not about “cotton”. What if instead it is an organized effort to see just how far they can control the majority.
I often wondered how a small minority of whites were able to control a nation where they were outnumbered by blacks. I think we are seeing the stage being set today for a future where the majority become second class citizens.
I suspect these riots every time a white (and only white) kills a black regardless of circumstances are not designed to make whites afraid of defending themselves.
Blacks are killing other blacks yet there is barely a ripple of concern.
I no longer believe these are “snowflakes” being over sensitive, I believe they know exactly what they are doing and their friends in the media help by using their megaphone to amplify any complaint by a black, but also a way of instructing other blacks on what to do.
The left has wanted a race war in this nation and have been disappointed that most whites are go along to get along and just want to be left alone. So when real racism can not be found they have to manufacturer it.
If we are stupid enough to give in and remove all cotton displays, it will not end anything (since as I said, it is not about cotton) they will just find something else that is innocent of all racial context and claim it is racist and demand it be removed from the public square.
Anyway, that is my opinion for what it is worth.
The immortal Robert A. Heinlein in his “future history” wrote of “The Crazy Years.”
I am beginning to think he underestimated just how crazy they would be.
These morons want to boil everything down to the sensitivities of last week. Thus a flag, or a banana or a picture of a cotton ball can send them into uncontrollable vapors.
We need to figure out a way to make coloring books, play-do and fidget spinners be seen as racist, then the snowflakes will really be lost.
We have to ban anything made from cotton and from petroleum. Then, I suppose, we will have to get used to wearing animal skins... oh, I suppose not.
LOL!
#TreeLivesMatter!
Birthday suits it is!
Although now we have offensive skin to deal with...
I am so, SO sick of these people and their TRIGGER words/pictures/objects/smells/whatever. Cotton stalks are used in floral arrangements just like pussy willow, forsythia, birch tree branches etc.. I shouldn’t tell this story but I will. My daughter had a friend with all sort of trigger words (the main ones being “retard”, “rape” and “pudding”) Don’t ask me why but I blamed it on the fact she was a theater high school girl. She comes over to the house and is standing in the kitchen. My son walks in, gives me one of his devilish smiles and says aloud, “Hi Bridgit! The other day, when I was raping a retard in a pool of pudding...” She left and I think I laughed for 3 straight hours.
This irritates me so much, I would go to Hobby Lobby TODAY and buy a bunch of it if I didn’t know my cats would just knock it over and string it all over the house.
Not even centuries really, a few decades.
