Washington (CNN)US investigators wiretapped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort under secret court orders before and after the election, sources tell CNN, an extraordinary step involving a high-ranking campaign official now at the center of the Russia meddling probe.
The government snooping continued into early this year, including a period when Manafort was known to talk to President Donald Trump.
Some of the intelligence collected includes communications that sparked concerns among investigators that Manafort had encouraged the Russians to help with the campaign, according to three sources familiar with the investigation. Two of these sources, however, cautioned that the evidence is not conclusive.

CNN is lying again. They said getting a fisa warrant means you have proof of wrong doing and it’s very hard to get them approved by a judge.
This is 100% false. FISA Warrants are almost always approved. The fact that some have been denied when trying to spy on Trump is the real news.

Assuming that is true, why? The DNC emails were at worst embarrassing. They showed the DNC was partisan, but anyone with 2 brain cells could tell the DNC was rigged. Bernie never stood a chance and it had nothing to do with collusion and everything to do with the way the DNC counts delegates. The DNC leak did not derail her campaign. I don’t think that the DNC leak even made the list in her book of reasons for losing.
If they were willing to go to such lengths to cover up a small embarrassment, I shudder to think what they have done over much more important topics.
I’ll keep asking: Where the heck is Jeff Sessions? Has the guy gone AWOL and no one told us? The DOJ needs to act and now.
