Overlap is a form of farmer mow. Following tracks, as the kid is doing, is the correct way - the way all professional mowers mow. Mowing that way creates neat patterns on the lawn.

Wife & I were just discussing how much good our chores did us back in the day of “child” labor. The lack of this kind of “child” labor may be one of prime reasons for the failure of “liberal” reporters to understand the way the world works. Such work teaches you a lot about your self and the adults you work for. Raise you hand if you think this reporter would be good to work for - - - anybody??
At five I was too young to help harvest hay bails, so I drove the tractor while others placed the hay on our trailer.
