Hurricane Jose has been hanging around, waiting for attention in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Newcomer Maria threatens to impact the Caribbean Islands already devastated by Hurricane Irma, and brushed by Jose. Hurricane Jose threatens to brush or impact New England. Lee appears to be a fish storm at this time.

I think the eye replacement cycle may be starting

1) cloud tops warming a little
2) the clouds tops and radar returns on the north side of the system are not wrapping/moving towards the small eye as much but are spreading out(aka the storm is expanding in size)
3) looks more like a double eye wall structure now on radar versus the inner eye sucking that outbound in...

time will tell

Puerto Rica declared bankruptcy in May...then Irma and now Maria.... their recovery will be long and very arduous.

Virtually no communication coming out of Dominica. Very ominous.

We visited Dominica on a cruise back in January. It was a BEAUTIFUL island. They've only very recently opened up for tourist. This direct hit will surely set them back.
