WASHINGTON, D.C. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters Friday that the Trump Administration will be laying out details of a possible deal with Democrat and Republican congressional leaders to pass legislation on DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and border security measures. One reporter referenced President Donald Trumps tweet that no chain migration could be a part of an immigration bill, then asked Sanders, What did he mean by that?
The President is focused on making sure that in the efforts of these ongoing conversations between both Democrats and Republicans, that we deliver on responsible immigration reform. He wants to help American workers and families, replied Sanders.
Chain migration refers to those who hold legal status in the U.S. and use that status to bring members of their family to the United States. The question has been raised in relation to the possibility that DACA recipients, if given legal status in the, could in turn use that to get status for members of their extended families.
No deal has been final reached on this process, Sanders continued. He supports making an agreement on DACA, but that would have to include massive border security and interior enforcements.
Media reports have been rife with comments from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi after they took part in a dinner meeting with President Trump on Wednesday evening. The two followed up with a joint statement indicating that they made a deal with the President to quickly legalize DACA and would not include the building of the southern border wall Trump promised during his 2016 campaign. Trump refuted the claims of Schumer and Pelosi at he traveled to Florida on Thursday morning, stating that no deal had been reached.
Hes still 100% committed to the wall..."

Well since Breitbart fell for AP fake story that a deal was already made I’ll believe this when I see it.
Cluster.
There are 800k (out of 11m or way more) who have signed up to get work permits. If they are working and paying taxes then they should be able to keep those work permits and stay. There are some within that number who have committed fraud, etc who need to be deported. And any crimes of any sort. But if they signed up and contributed to society then I don't support pulling that privilege.
The chain migration and anchor baby stuff has to stop, but that's a different issue.
I hope any “payments” to anchor babies is stopped also! I hear moms come into our country to give birth, get aid and then return home and live off of the monthly payments...if that is true it needs to stop
Definately. I would also include:
1. No instant path to citizenship. They will have to go through the same procedures as anyone else. No going to the head of the line
2. Not eligible for any federal or state benefits ( welfare, tuition, etc.. )
3. No relatives can come into the US to join them under the amnesty. If they have relatives in the US ( parents for example ) that are here illegally, they are to be deported instantly. No anchor babies. Children born here are not instant citizens
4. Under the same restrictions as anyone else who is on a green card. If they commit a crime, they are deported.
5. If they are sending money back home to Mexico ( or whatever their home country is ), there will be a percentage service fee on the transaction.
6. If they have a state ID or drivers license, it must indicate what their status is on that ID.
The RAISE Act isn’t enough, the quota system that Hart-Cellar abolished needs to be reinstated, along with abolishing DACA, anchor babies, and public assistance to illegals.
The Wall of course comes first.
He wants to help American workers and families, replied Sanders.
And no one asked....then why is he wasting his time on DACAs?
Enforce the current immigration laws on the books. Problem solved.
...will be laying out details of a possible deal with Democrat and Republican congressional leaders to pass legislation on DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and border security measures....
My prediction.
Trump will take the high ground and force the progressive left to own all of the marxist lies.
DACA had specific requirements. The vetting was pi$$ poor, everyone got over the non existent bar.
To function as an illegal in the US, you have to commit other crimes, starting with fake and forged ID’s.
A small fraction of the “800,000 children” prolly actually qualify for DACA.
I would grant some sort of residency to an illegal IF said illegal completed 12 continuous years of service in the US Army
Start with NO AMNESTY, then lets see how these “students” finish the education and they and their illegal families go home. Simple. Anything else is amnesty, pure and simple. Primary any elected member of Congress that votes for amnesty, one term Trump if he signs amnesty, wall or no wall.
President Trump is in a no-win situation for a problem he had nothing to do with creating. I know he will find the best possible outcome for the American people and I know he will take enormous heat for it no matter what happens.
I shall continue to fully support President Trump but every opportunity I get to primary out one of these gutless Republican bastards in Congress, I will take it.
i could not have said that better. NO AMNESTY EVER~!!
I like your list. Read some things from the “crankies”. To those crankies, lighten up will you! Do you know the details yet? NO! The wall is going to be built. I truly believe that. DACA and e-verify: you have the dimwits to blame. President Trump is trying to fix this mess. Wait until the details come out. After all, he is dealing with the biggest swamp ever created by men and women.
What if President Trump were to offer to pardon all the citizens of Mexico who entered illegally, but not include people who overstayed visas or entered illegally from Mexico or elsewhere who are citizens of other countries?
Hear me out...
Pardoning these Mexican citizens illegally resident here does NOT make them legal; it only removes the penalties that resulted from their illegal entry.
If one barrier to motivating these people to leave and reenter legally is the fear of financial and/or time penalties for their original entry, this would remove that barrier. They would be allowed to enter legally without the fear of their past getting in the way, but they would still have to enter legally.
This would now free up Congress to write legislation that does not have to deal with this. Congress can try to pass legislation that fast-tracks the reentry process.
In other words, perhaps they do not have to physically leave and re-enter; maybe Congress can find a way for people without police records and who have steady jobs to stay here while they follow a documentation process to become legal residents. Once that process completes, then the five-year residency clock can begin before they can be considered for naturalization.
Congress would still have to deal with the issue of people with felony records, and people who have stolen identities (like social security numbers). A pardon would only be limited to the single act of illegal entry; these people would not be pardoned for any other crimes that occurred since then, including ID theft or other crimes that might be argued to stem from the illegal entry.
President Trump would have to very delicately explain to the American people why this is NOT amnesty (and therefore not breaking a campaign promise). The pardon would only cancel the penalty for the illegal entry to encourage illegal aliens to begin a legal entry/documentation process.
Also, Trump should tie this pardon to some concession from Democrats and/or Congress, such as funding the wall or tax reform. The President would only sign such a pardon simultaneously with a bill sent to his desk.
Thoughts?

Another 7-10 Days for the deserters to speculate.
I agree - when Dims use the term. I was using it in it's correct form - the legal path to US citizenship. I am quite familiar with the requirements since my wife had to go through it. One thing they don't mention on the page is the legal fees for filing. The "dreamers" should be held to the same standard as anyone else. That includes the interviews and background and security checks. They should not get a waiver on anything.
“massive border security” you know what that means. No f’n wall that’s what that means. Whenever you hear anyone say it including Trump what they are really saying is no wall.
It’s bait and switch BS. Period.
