Meghan McCain, the political scion who turned a stint as a blogger and TV show host into a role as a contributor at Fox News Channel, is leaving the network.
McCain is the oldest daughter of US Sen. John McCain, the Arizona Republican and 2008 presidential candidate, who in July was diagnosed with brain cancer following a procedure to remove a blood clot above his left eye. She was seen on Fox News as one of the co-hosts on “Outnumbered,” an afternoon program that added a different male guest each day to a rotating group of female contributors.
“Meghan has been a valuable part of ‘Outnumbered’ and the Fox News team,” the 21st Century Fox-owned outlet said in a statement. “We’re sad to see her go, but we wish her all the best.”
“I’m so thankful to Fox News for the chance to be on ‘Outnumbered,’ but I’m leaving to focus on other things,” McCain said in a statement. “I have no doubt the show will continue to do well and wish all my friends and colleagues at the network nothing but success.”

My initial thought as soon as I heard she was leaving is that she’s angling for her father’s office.

Aside from what you read by some posters on this site, objectively, she did a decent job on FNC “Outnumbered”!!! At least she brought forth her own views, not her nutcase, insane father’s mantra.
John McCain, low life piece of vermin and scum that he is, has ruined his daughter’s career forever!!! SAD!!!
No—she never would have got a foothold in broadcasting, let alone started at the top of the food chain as some sort of youth spokesperson, if her dad weren’t wealthy, famous, and politically powerful.
Many more talented and smarter prospects for broadcast TV political commentary than her.

This commie red-diaper baby (Russian-Jewish immigrant grandparents...same family-line as that other Fox steady contributor, the toothsome marxist Julie Roginsky) has the worst speaking voice in all of television (putting aside, for the moment, the plethora of female rapid-fire screechers infesting the tube).
Second worse voice, alas, is Kimberly Guilfoyle, whose words are 50-to-65% unintelligible because they come out of the far nether regions of her nasal passages rather than her mouth.
Surely these well-paid pundits can afford the services of a good voice coach.
