The LA Slimes cites the hurricane and the election for the lower ratings last week and last year. no mention of boycotts or fan displeasure at American values being shat upon
Haven’t watched a minute of the NFL this year. I check the scores, that’s about it.

Last week all games down 13% over last season
I’m sure there’s an excuse generator group that’s WAAY out ahead of this so expect more of it.
I left the NFL last year during the preseason and will not watch another game.
They obviously do not want to be the football league of this nation.
Let them find another.

The most patriotic sport in the country, the one with the jet flyovers at big games, and they can’t make the connection. Amazing, especially on the part of Goodell, because money is concerned.
How are college football ratings?
I love football, but as long as these idiots and the head of the NFL and Baseball, basketball keep letting our National Anthem be shamed by ‘their standards’ instead of the American Way of Life, I also have been boycotting since last year and will remain doing so!!!

As a still watching fan, my two cents:
The NFL has saturated the air waves with coverage. I enjoy spending 12 hours watching football Saturday and again Sunday as much as the next guy, but add in Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at the end of the season? It’s not special, it’s too much
The NFL has bought SO deeply into Fantasy Football that it’s shown in an entirely different manner. Know what the most boring thing in the world is? Hearing someone talk about their fantasy team. Seeing and endless crawl at the bottom of the screen updating rankings and points just exacerbates it.
Lastly, I watch football, because it takes me away from the endless drum beat of politics. The last thing I want to see in ANY way is something political. ESPN, The NFLPA, The NFL, etc. always manage to sneak in a little message that I don’t want to hear: Kneeling during the National Anthem, the TRULY IDIOTIC pink ribbon Octobers, or worst of all, athletes telling me what their political opinion is.
Sooner or later, they’ll lose me too.
I broke down and watched the SuperBowl last year, but not a single play during the regular season or playoffs.
How much are ratings down?
I’m watching more football than ever. On the NFL Redzone. No commercials
I we’ve discovered that college foot ball is a lot more fun. We are not watching any. NFL as long as they keep insulting us, (Americans are their revenue source too)

The LA Times think it’s because they don’t promote Black Lives Matter enough.
