The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday that will provide $1.2 trillion to fund the government past Sept. 30, and will allocate $1.6 billion towards President Donald Trump’s border wall.

The legislation gives $658.1 billion to the Department of Defense, $44.3 billion for the Department of Homeland Security and allocates the rest of the money towards other federal agencies. The bill lops all 12 annual spending bills into two one piece of legislation.

If Congress failed to act by the Sept. 30 deadline, portions of the government would be forced to shut down and all non-essential government employees will forgo payment until they reached an agreement. The bill now makes its way to the Senate for approval.

Not without some healthy issues, but I think I’ve got it a lot better than many other folks.

I don’t worry about it much.

We’re about the same age.

I feel the same way, just don’t have the energy I wish I had. I’ve got so much I want to do and never get it all done.

Not to be preachy, but I hear a brisk 30 minute walk daily can really help build energy.

I’m considering starting that up myself.

I hear you. I used to be very active but a foot problem is hampering walking a lot, if I ever get health insurance I supposes something might improve. There are kinds of exercise that don’t require walking that I do sporadically, need to get regular. I walked for an hour a day for years and wish I could again; daily walking is excellent habit.

I'm hampered a bit by walking or running.

I purchased a city-bike and now ride with an electric motor that supplements my peddling.

To my surprise, I'm able to peddle it a lot better than I thought I would be able to.

My 15-20% grade hill up to my home is still attainable, when I use peddle assist.

Great investment. $1050.00

No, I do not think at all that President Trump is lying to me or his supporters in any way, shape or form.

I guess subtlety is not one of your strong points.

Ever heard of “holding one’s cards close to the vest”? Speaking in words that can be interpreted different ways? So as to trick those who want to destroy you?

Apparently you think Trump should issue memos of exactly what his short term and long term plans are, all the steps, all the tactics, and ultimate goals, etc, so the Dems, the judges, the media the establishment Rs, the embedded holdovers in gov and so on, can block his every move.

Remember that Trump several times has said that he will not announce military plans beforehand, as the enemy prepares and defends pre-emptively.

He’s doing the same thing with his MAGA agenda. He (and us) have worse enemies than some ISIS “over there”. It’s obvious to me what he is doing.

You are saying then that he is being deceitful in his public statements about wanting DACA to be legalized, since that is the topic at hand—and that is lying to the American public.

Your stupid insults meanwhile are also offensive. I’m done responding to such idiocy.
