Hillary Clinton told CNN on Wednesday that it is time to abolish the Electoral College, part of a sweeping interview where the former Democratic nominee sought to explain why she lost the 2016 election.
Clinton, in the interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, displayed her animus for fired FBI Director James Comey, reflected on her love for the people -- namely former President Bill Clinton -- who helped her get through the crushing loss and blasted the arcane election body that she believes helped Donald Trump win the presidency.

She keeps whining about how she won the popular vote. Does she even know that Bill only got 43% of the popular vote in ‘92? Does she have a problem with his win?

The Democrats should be happy about the electoral college. The party could run a dinosaur such as Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren or one of their young disturbingly hateful politicians with little substance except color or gender and still win large states such as New York, California and Illinois in addition to their control of Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland, etc.
Great post. To eliminate the Electoral College, there would have to be amendments to the Constitution. That would be more difficult than the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, which has yet to happen. Der Hildebeast is living in the Fantasy Land of the Unicorn Farm.
Imagine if the 2020 race was decided by a same day registration state like New Hampshire where voters who voted elsewhere are bussed in from neighboring states.
Because she knows that would be a win for Dems every time. We don’t need the Dem strongholds of NY, Miami, Chicago, California, etc being the only votes that count. Sorry, your cankleness, but the EC is necessary.
Eliminate the Elec. College and 6 or so large cities could determine our presidents. Instead of the United States of America we’d have the United Large Cities of America.

Let her keep spewing, as annoying as it is, because this ensures the continuing regionalization of the Dems. The more of them who are defeated, the less influence they will have over policy. Every time some Dem Senator or Governor loses, another possible presidential candidate Bites the Dust. They have no bench, because it has been decimated. We should hope for this process to continue.
Our part in this is to put up with the aggravation of seeing her ugly face and listening to her shrill voice. The ones that really will matter or those who are fence-sitters, who will no longer vote for the Democrats.

The American people were spared a Clinton presidency this past November. She is truly in her own world. She say publicly she is not running. But if you look at what she is doing and saying, she sure sounds like she is running in 2020.

A few days before SEIU members on the ground in Iowa said that Hillary was going to lose the state. They were getting ready to get on the buses and head to Michigan which they were told was going to be very close. The Clinton campaign
ordered them to stay in Iowa.
At this late juncture I think the best thing we can do as patriots is to fully embrace the coming Civil War.
Because it is coming whether we like it or not.

Lincoln was elected by the electoral college in 1860, winning only 39.6% of the popular vote. Bill Clinton was elected by the electoral college, winning jut 43% of the popular vote.
You see, even when there is more than two candidates, it is the electoral college vote that determines the winner.
Hillary is DEADLY wrong because being a Progressive she denies the real, natural, meaning of a nation, which is not a mere sum of numbers, but is all the PLACES that go to make up a nation. To allow a few states with a few big cities to decide for “the nation” who will be president is an error that leads to tyranny and disintegration of republics.
Her own party doesn’t want her. She got bumped off once by an unknown junior senator from IL, and later only got a nomination over a raving old man because of “superdelegates”. If she wants the Electoral College gone, she’d have to accept the equivalent change within her own party - and still wouldn’t win.
All this “but she won the popular vote” BS fails to note that if it _had_ been popular vote rules, Trump would have played accordingly and still likely won. 3M vote advantage isn’t much when (A) most/all of those were likely illegal and would have been cracked down on if relevant (which they weren’t under EC), and (B) sheer rally attendance numbers show he could have rallied millions more if needed.
