Clinton said she never thought of not going to Trump's inauguration as a former first lady.
"And so there I was on the platform, you know, feeling like an out of body experience," she said. "And then this speech [by Trump], a cry from the white nationalist gut."
She said that during the campaign Trump was quite successful “referencing a nostalgia” that would give hope, comfort and settle grievances for millions of people upset about gains made by others.
“Millions of white people,” Pauley asked.
“Yeah, millions of white people,” Clinton replied.
Clinton also defended her "basket of deplorables" comment about Trump supporters in the interview.
"Well, I thought Trump was behaving in a deplorable manner," she said. "I thought a lot of his appeals to voters were deplorable. I thought his behavior as we saw on the 'Access Hollywood' tape was deplorable. And there were a large number of people who didn't care. It didn't matter to them."
Clinton said she didn't believer her deplorable comment energized Trump voters.

Think of what we avoided by the grace of 70,000 voters in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan - a stacked Supreme Court and other federal courts for decades, more indoctrination and division directed against one part of the population, jail for decent public servants doing their job like Joe Arpaio, endless carping, more needless foreign wars, a not so bright President (the media don’t tell you that Hillary flunked the DC Bar exam, do they?) and renewed stealing from the national treasure at a madcap pace for personal gain.
So we continue to wait for the day she is quietly retired, and the talking stops.

Some 95% of all the personal woe in this world is, in some manner or another, self-induced.
I do believe the damage done to Herself was 100% self-inflicted. Herself had SO many opportunities to do the right thing, actions which would have GREATLY improved chances for Herself, and yet, somehow, none were ever even explored.
If there were a wrong road to follow, Herself took it every time.
I believe excluding Bubba almost totally during her campaign. She relied on Obama's voters rather than Bubba's broader appeal. And I believe it's one of those "told you so" moments between them. She must loathe him.
I suggest beginning with the State flunky whose signature certified the votes. Ignorance is no excuse. Prison.
