Breaking: Eric Bolling's Son Passes Away
Independent Journal Review ^ | 09/09/2017 | IJR staff

Posted on 09/09/2017 11:11:21 AM PDT by Rusty0604

Fox News just announced the decision to terminate popular host Eric Bolling amid allegations of inappropriate text messages — but as of Saturday morning, that was the least of Bolling's troubles. Sources are now reporting that Bolling's 19-year-old son, affectionately known as “Eric Chase,” passed away on Friday night. A source close to Eric Bolling confirmed the news to Mediaite. A statement from Fox News is expected soon.

Bolling has spoken of his son fondly and often on Twitter:

It is clear that Bolling deeply loved his son and took great pride in watching him grow up.

“Rupert Murdoch has blood on his hands.”

Stop making such a serious and reckless charge.

I don’t like Rupert Murdoch either, but I’m not going to charge the man with “having blood on his hands,” because the son of his former employee, committed suicide.

I had a brother who committed suicide and we learned over time that there were multiple reasons that contributed to pushing him over the edge.

It’s never just one person’s fault and it usually involves a complex set of factors, including the emotional and chemical makeup of the individual.

As for the sexual misconduct of Eric Boling, I have no idea whether it’s true or not.

As for the death of his only child, my heart breaks for him.

My sincere condolences to his family.

"Maybe his son sent those pictures ..."

This is a possibility that occurred to me.

Years ago I knew of a father who was the passenger in a car being driven by his son who only had a learner's permit. Somehow the car crossed a yellow line and hit a parked truck, causing the truck driver, who was unloading the truck, to be knocked to the sidewalk.

The son became very upset both because he lost control of the vehicle and because he didn't have the learner's permit on him. The father let the boy walk home and then claimed to have been driving the car when the police arrived. The deception fell apart rapidly because there were several witnesses who saw the boy driving.

To this day I am still amazed at the sacrifice the father would make to cover up what turned out to be a minor fender-bender. To the boy it must have seemed extremely serious.

I wonder if Bolling was covering up for his son, perhaps never realizing what the final cost would be. I am quite convinced that many fathers would try to protect their son from the negative consequences of such a lack of judgement. Whatever the truth is, this is a sad day.

It’s possible that the son sent dirty pictures to somebody on his father’s computer or phone, but would he really send them to people at FNC and FBN rather than to girls closer to his own age?

“Maybe his son sent the pictures...”

Interesting idea. No one has suggested that before. It sounds “off the wall,” but makes one think.

If true, Eric Bolling will have an even a more difficult time with this.

Assuming this scenario is true makes the rest of this story make much sense. Thanks.

I don’t know one way or the other if the charges had merit in an environment of short skirts and Alpha Males but I think it is safe to say that the behind the scenes behavior and culture at Fox was toxic and deplorable. The death of this young man who is not buried yet should not be used as a platform for speculation. There are more questions than answers. Many times what is widely repeated and reported tends to be false or skewed.

That is the problem. Something horrible happens and they just don’t (we just didn’t) have the wisdom to know that one day, not far in the future, that horrible thing would NOT either define you or keep you down. You won’t even think about it much.

They are all a little lost at 19. I thought I knew SO MUCH and I was just beginning to understand that I knew very little. I’d been feeling like a life expert since 16. I’ve never felt as Know it all as I did then and I never will. I can’t! Now I KNOW I don’t know sh**!

It would be like my son sending his privates to MY older coworkers. Not likely, plus the kid would have been barely 13-14. No.

But to be so proud of your newsman dad on tv every night, and then for him to be fired for sending his penis to women???? His HERO, his dad???? Breaking his mom’s heart?! That’s not easy to live down at that age.

“Fox should be ashamed of themselves, firing him without proof.”

Fox has become a complete shame since the Murdoch “Kids” took over.

I do not believe any of the accusations against any of the old Fox News men are true. If real evidence comes out then I wil give my mea culpa.

The two boys are leftists and are colluding with the leftist organizations like the HuffPo to take out the remaining conservatives on Fox. They think this will get the conservatives out while not getting dirty by firing them and also try to get the public to think that conservatives are perverts. Two birds and all that.

The left was successful in getting Bill O canned and will use the same tactic over and over until the public catches on yet we have many folks here on FR immediately calling Bolling names when there has been no proof given, just accusations. Just because Fox has started some internal investigation doesn't mean anything that comes of it is true, and they will not show the evidence due to "Personal privacy". Anything Fox does internally is suspect because of who runs Fox News.

A true shame. Regardless of whether Bolling did what they say or didn’t do it, losing a child is something that a parent never gets over. It is never out of your mind and often you blame yourself, even if there was nothing you could have done. And if his suicide was somehow motivated by what happened to his dad makes this even more tragic. I wasn’t a big Bolling fan but he and his family are in my thoughts and prayers right now.

You know what? You don't know a thing about Trump.

How on earth can Pelosi and Trump get a bill past the GOPE led House and the Senate? You do realize your fantasy requires that.

It takes a really small-brained individual to say those things, when it's technically impossible.

This sounds a lot like what happened to Brit Hume’s son Sandy.

Interesting. Hadn’t thought of that. “They” are capable of anything, including killing conservatives’ careers.
