You don’t see this everyday. A wild brawl broke out at a Popeye’s in Texas after a pregnant manager was attacked. The melee was captured on a cellphone.
New York Daily News reports:
A Texas Popeyes owner is defending his team after several workers were caught on camera pummeling four female customers in a wild brawl.
Vedo Kemraj told KSAT that his staff jumped into the altercation to defend their pregnant general manager, who was allegedly being kicked in the stomach during the fight.
“If you see someone is pregnant, you’re not going to hit them,” Kemraj said. “I don’t get that.”

No idea what triggered this silly melee but if customers were kicking a pregnant woman in the stomach, I’m glad someone helped her whatever the cause.
Does this make one more or less likely to want to go to Popeye’s? Well, definitely not an appetizer. I’ll stick to Bojangles or Chick-Fil-A for my chicken needs.

My son works at a higher end fast food place. A regular started cussing out one of the servers. The franchise owner banned him from his restaurant for life

Same here, knew who the culprits were before opening the thread. That is sad, but so far I have been accurate 100% on these. Speaks volumes about the culture and the lack of true fathers in it. Fifty or sixty years ago their families would be shocked by their behavior, it would have been considered beneath them and vulgar. And this is the culture that many Americans are trying to emulate.
Working in a fast food joint, much like being a public school teacher or a mass transit worker, is now akin to being a prison guard.
Texas State University was a renowned party school when I was looking at places to go. I went elsewhere.

Kemraj obviously hasn’t been around Africans for much of his life. I should send him the crime stats to show that African behavior is the issue, not their color.
My kid loves working there. I met one of the managers a couple days ago and they are effusive in their appreciation for him.
He took a couple months off to volunteer at a summer camp and they said they couldn’t wait until he returned.

Hah. I have that CD on the desk in my basement cave and will be listening to it later this evening while reading Harry Turtledove’s latest piece of alternate history. Been listing to Jimmy since the ‘50’s. He was a Philly boy and the Philly FM jazz station played him day and night.
