Really?

Certainly the GOP will have to be on board with this -- since they have majorities in both Houses of Congress.

Can there be anything more absurd than the Congressional Republicans and their favorite but boy McCain?

You can’t possibly be this dense. It’s a “no” vote from Trump on the Republicans.

Interesting -

The GOP wanted an 18 month debt limit increase to avoid bringing it up for the 2018 elections.

McConnell approves BTW.

The GOP runs Congress.

They will be the ones handing him the Legislation, not the Rats.

If they are able to push the Debt Ceiling Increase to last until after the 2018 Elections like they want to, President Trump will still sign it.

If they only get a three Month extension, President Trump will sign it.

It is all linked to funding for Hurricane Damage.
No President would Veto that Legislation.

It’s their call, no matter what President Trump says.

As another Poster here said, it’s Kabuki Theater. If not for the Hurricanes, things would have turned out differently, but you fight with the Military you have, not the one you wished you had.

You aren’t familiar with the nuances of 4D chess, I see.....

Neither am I because I don’t have the first clue what the end game of the past 24 hours is.

The message I’m getting is Trump wants his wall and will trade EVERYTHING to get it - Amnesty, the budget, Steve Bannon’s still beating heart......

I don’t care for either party....if trump has to side with democrats on one or two issues it does not up set me. just as long as he keeps his word on border issues and deregulating all the rules that federal agencies have enacted over the last 70 years.

hahahaha, they’re about to find out what happens when the media sides with Trump. They have given him nothing, I think it’s a smart move to bring the Dems into the game. I’ve started noticing the “leadership” of the Dems starting to pull back ever so slightly from the craziest elements. I want the Repukes to lose so badly at this point. The only thing stopping me from being all in against them is the Democrats’ talk of impeachment. Drop that and I’d bet that many people will turn back to them.

It seems to me that this is a huge “No Confidence” vote in the GOP leadership by President Trump.

Exactly. A no confidence vote, a stick in the eye, and a kick in the ass all in one.

It means nothing if there aren’t enough Republicans to get a bill out of committee. It’s all just smoke and mirrors if the leadership doesn’t sign on to it.

Absolutely right. Ryan stuck his neck out this morning and got it chopped off.

I love the smell of primary in the morning . . .

That’s always been a legitimate possibility.

I can’t imagine it’s what we want, is it?

President Trump is far too flexible ideologically to want him to working with Schumer and freaking Pelosi.

This is the fear. Like Ron Burgundy and the teleprompter, I think Trump will sign any bill you put in front of him. He wants bills. He wants accomplishments.

I said during the Obamacare fiasco that this was coming because Pelosi and Schmuer can give him massive accomplishments. Single payer. Amnesty. Big things. Things that go in the history books.

"McConnell and Ryan still have to let the legislation on the floor."

Think uniparty.

Patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting patriots on the primary ballots.

Now it makes sense. Trump wants to use the debt ceiling as a campaign issue against the Establishment since they are bucking him and during the Repub primaries Ding dong Chucky obviously for other reasons for 2018.
