They always have the Iron Bowl between Auburn and Alabama. This year it is 11/25 at Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn.
I was in Saudi Arabia (1987-1992) during the entire Gulf War and went up to Kuwait two days after the war was over amidst the burning oil fields and the "Mile of Death." The coalition we formed to displace Saddam from Kuwait had a limited mission. There was no desire by the coalition to take down Saddam. Scowcroft made that quite clear. Powell ended the war a few days too early when we had the ability to eradicate the Republican Guard.
And yes, it would probably have needed some of our boys to stay and keep the peace. But still better than keeping our boys in Saudi Arabia trying to enforce a no-fly zone on an embittered Saddam and minions...while the Islamic fundamentalists went nuts...
We would have had to take Saddam out first. And how many of "our boys" would have been required to keep the peace in 1991?
Iraq was NEVER a separate whole country, but made up separate nations and then distinct provinces of the Ottoman Empire when the British carved it out into one country in 1921.
It was a separate country in 1991. In terms of its colonial history, Iraq was a state longer than most of the countries in Africa . The number of countries in the world have more than doubled since the end of WWII and there are plenty of separatist movements that could add to those numbers including in Europe. We are devolving into worldwide tribalism fueled by multiculturalism. Iraq could certainly split into different countries, but how involved should the US be in determining the outcome?
yes, and you cant back burn on your own acreage to prevent spread of gov’t forest fires - I believe that’s one reason why Bundy’s were in jail...I could be mistaken. Good forest management is NOT what government does, and that’s what we’ve had in NW...government forest “management”.
I’m thinking of starting a thread just about the NW fires...since I don’t think they are getting the news they should.
FACE THE NATION
PANEL - 4 estrogens : 1 testosterone (snowflake)
I had to bale.
What's the difference? How do you tell? They all follow the same book of crap.
(Kill thy neighbor as thyself)
Seoul has been the capital of Korea since late 1300s. From about 1910 to 1945, Korea was occupied by the Japanese. The country was divided in two, by the 38th parallel. After the Korean war, they established the DMZ. The DMZ does not follow the 38th parallel, and on the western end dips below it, putting Seoul about 35 miles away. Seoul was captured I think four different times by the Norks and completely destroyed during the Korean War. I dont think they will leave Seoul. Many Americans including myself have served in Korea and wish the little tyrant to the north would disappear.
Well, we know what actually happened.
We know we had to keep American troops in Saudi Arabia post to enforce the No-Fly Zone. That in itself led to the Al Kiyda coalition against us. When you left Saudi Arabia in 1992 things changed, and for the worse. More Muzzies went over to Bin Laden BECAUSE we were there. Khobar Towers, Nairobi and Mombassa Embassy bombings, USS Cole, and then finally 9/11. How many were lost? And then, of course, Afghanistan and the Iraq Wars themselves.
All that took a lot of our lives and theirs. I'm only looking at the long march of history, and many of the wars, conflicts and brushfires of the world are in fact due to trying to make countries out of different peoples that might have been in a particular European power's colony, but should NEVER be a distinct country.
Whoops! That was a site I wanted to visit, not post!
I watched a documentary last night called Missing 411, (https://gostream.is/film/missing-411-21102/watching.html?ep=790781); quite worrisome, that led to a search of similar incidents that the link above contains.
To wit:
Something is abducting people, especially little kids, from National Parks and Forests, sometimes within site of their parents, but not the thing that did it. Hundreds and hundreds of people over the country, and the FBI had a guy in charge of it, and he eventually killed himself.
Some say a bigfoot like creature is out there eating people. I don’t believe it, but want to read what evidence is out there, to satisfy both my morbid curiosity and also satisfy me that it’s all bunk.
Hard to get over,LOL!!
thanks this helps me.
I wonder if the president knows? Maybe he can EO all the liberal BS out of law.He helps our side so much its remarkable,if he knows I bet he would take an interest.
imagine the issues of what happened in New Orleans after Katrina multiplied by a factor of 20 or more.... ..................... I think they called it Sandy? I grew up there, the water never reached our house. When Sandy hit, the water was in the basement. 2 days later it was all pumped out. It was salt water. That was Brooklyn, but the neighbors all worked it out.
The mid east has always been a powder keg fueled by sunni/shia BS with the slightest deviation of religious belief sometimes enough to set off one tribe against another.
Oil changed it some but as we see the Saudis play both sides and have beefed up terrorists almost on a worldwide basis while buying millions in real estate in the US and funding almost every mosque that gets built. With the deep state/CIA doing what they do in Afghanistan and funneling drugs all over the world from Afghanistan to Pakistan for processing to Offutt AFB for distribution they have helped create a huge cluster that may never be healed. I don't see any way out of constant war and strife in the mideast, much of it brought on by the drug cartels, CIA, Illuminati.
Please do! Link everyone you have a huge issue there.
You’re welcome Rod.

Sen Jeff Flake mumbles and says nothing.
Intriguingly, it was only THIS show, CNN, King of Fake News, who had the letter left by President Obama to newly elected President Trump. Some gripes by the round table but how about CNN is headed by Valerie Jarrett’s daughter and CNN had this letter?

The forest fires are pretty bad in Oregon and Cal with much of the roads and trails closed down due to the closeness of the fires. Pacific Coast Trail is mostly closed in Oregon and a couple of groups are stranded being supplied by helicopter.
