Ryan asks Trump to hold off on scrapping DACA

House Speaker Paul Ryan on Friday gave a major boost to legislative efforts to preserve protections for young undocumented immigrants -- and urged President Donald Trump to not tear up the program. Trump told reporters Friday he was still mulling the decision. The White House press secretary said a decision would be announced Tuesday.

Responding to a question about Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, on his hometown radio station WCLO in Janesville, Wisconsin, Ryan said Congress was working on a legislative fix to preserve the program.

"I actually don't think he should do that," Ryan said of Trump's consideration of terminating the program. "I believe that this is something that Congress has to fix."

Ryan's statement offers the most public support by anyone in the Republican congressional leadership for some sort of legislation to protect the "Dreamers" under DACA.

Ryan needs to be stopped, but no one seems capable of doing it. If Trump folds on DACA or Congress under Ryan’s and McConnell’s leadership pass a bill that is amnesty by whatever name, and Trump signs it, then Trump will have been neutralized.

As all EO’s, it’s an ORDER. It is treated and implemented as law among those entitled to request DACA status.

Trump should do away with it, I totally agree.

Let Lyin’ Ryan attempt to patch it right back together again, which has been tried before and never passed. Thus Obama made magic with it.

However, because it is treated and implemented lawfully and seen as a law, Trump wants Congress to handle it and to set their azz on the hot seat instead of his own, for a change.

Chess, maybe?

American security and preservation of a majority white nation should not be subject to “negotiation”.

These globalist bastards want to kill us and steal our money via the electoral process, or through violence if necessary once they are in full control.

They are already unaccountable at the Executive agencies, the IRS, State department, FBI, and CIA work for their own interests, not the interests of the American people.

Trump is doing NOTHING to punish the conspirators in the HUSSEIN BARAKA/KLINTOON criminal gang.

Everyday that goes by that these people walk unmolested is a slap in the face to the guy who gets up every morning, goes to work, and pays his taxes.

This coup is in full swing and Trump doesn’t either have the guts or the smarts to do what needs to be done to put an end to it.

Maybe he should call Maduro in Venezuela for advice.

The issue has been around for more than five years...

A Sleeper Amnesty: Time to Wake Up from the DREAM Act
Not surprisingly, the DREAM Act languished in committee for five years after it was first introduced in 2001—until the opportunity arose to hitch it to the Senate’s “comprehensive” immigration bills of 2006 and 2007.

Maybe President Trump can ask Lyan Ryan to vacate the speakers chair so they can pick an actual conservative to head the House.

Did Trump have a clue, when he ran for President, that he was dipping his toe into the Slough Of Despond? Only it’s not the weight of Trump’s sins dragging him under; it’s the sins of the GOPe.

DACA was a flawed policy from the first, and its very shaky legitimacy is based on a very poor interpretation of the 14th Amendment, which defines citizenship according to the place of birth, or of later naturalization.

These individuals, by entering the United States under illegal circumstances, are NOT subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, but are expatriates subject to the jurisdiction of the country in which they were born.

Punts on the wall? Um no deal. He hasn’t even had the guts obama did as prez.. no wall funding is a veto.. but he just can’t bring himself to play hardball here. Makes ya kinda wonder why not?

Why? That’s an easy one. The feckless beltway GOP will just put together a budget with the Dems and override POTUS to “avoid a shut down”.

Trump stuck his neck out for us after Charlottesville. Literally nobody else did. Makes ya kinda wonder why his “supporters” are so quick to abandoned him after that magnificent performance.

Well, let’s see how fast congress can move when it’s something like DACA and then watch the swamp creatures try to tell us we don’t understand these things take time

Ryan should divorce his Democrat wife and marry some Mexican Mestizo DREAMer mama.

P. Ryan has to go. It is one of the very rare times I would vote for a Democrat just to remove him from being the speaker. He is anti-America, favors policies that harm us. Disgusting that House members support him.
