On aug 24th there was a prediction of 50 inches of rain.

Did anyone in media..politics or weatherman predict it publicly as early as Thursday

Compared to Sandy, others...the MSM definitely low-balled coverage before the storm. Joe Bastardi seemed to think this was going to be a much bigger event than the media/pundits were making it out to be, think he predicted cat. 2 rather than just the trop. storm/rain event most of the media was throwing out there.

As far as doing that on purpose...hoping the disaster could be used against Trump???....you be the judge. The networks still seem focused on Arpaio more than anything else.

Wouldn't put it past the evil pr#cks to pull something like that if you ask me...their hatred of Trump knows no bounds.

All the local weather people here in Houston were predicting the worst case scenario from the get-go (Wednesday at least). I was hoping they were just being alarmists, but sadly, they were all accurate.
