I actually remember the Hurricane of 1938———I was 5 years old,my father had just died,and the storm HOWLED all night,which terrified me.
The noise was horrible.

I actually remember the Hurricane of 1938 Wow! I've lived in NY all of my life, but wasn't born until '57. Yes, I've read that that was a very bad one.

Wow—my mother used to tell stories about the 1938 Long Island Express. Her brother took her down to the bay and there were rooftops, large kitchen appliances floating in the water.
