Anti-Donald-Trump protests turned into skirmishes with police in Phoenix on Tuesday, as cops unloaded on the crowds gathered outside his rally with tear gas.
In one wince-inducing moment screened on CBS5 and captured on Twitter, one protester - clad in a gas mask - kicked a canister of tear gas back at police.
Seconds later a cloud of dust mushroomed up from his groin and he doubled up in agony.
'A guy just got shot with a rubber bullet,' remarked one host, as the other lapsed into a pained silence.
'So... er... yeah, the officers are not, are not messing around at all,' the host stuttered as the stricken protester was dragged away by an ally.

So if they were really using “pepper balls” the article is wrong and they WEREN’T using rubber bullets.
Also, in the rally thread, it was pointed out that they were using smoke bombs - NOT tear gas.
If that’s true, virtually EVERY “fact” reported in this article is WRONG.
Of course he will now sue the police for brutality. If he suffered permanent damage(think Darwin Award. Has he reproduced and now can he?) he might get millions.

So the rubber bullet recipient was an anti-Trump protester but is called a “Trump protester” in the article for ... clarity?

The question rises, since the protester was paid, was his injury covered by workman’e compensation?
I was watching on Fox Business the reporter was outside after the rally. Everything seemed peaceful, and had been all night when the cops seemed to start opening fire with tear gas and rubber bullets into a crowd peacefully marching bunch of protesters kept it up for no apperent reason. The cops tweeted a few minutes someone had thrown water bottles at them. Everyone at FBN was aghast at what was going on. I don’t know what the story is, but the Dem mayor had asked Trump to cancel his rally to prevent violence. I can’t help but think that the cops intiated it to fulfill the narrative because both sides had been relatively peaceful all night.
If you show up to a rally with your face covered (as I understand it that is illegal) the assumption is you will be violent. In that case, the police have every right to use everything non-lethal in their inventory to prevent violence.
Just once I want to see that “vomit machine” and “heat machine” which was shown on some weapons show a while back. Get the whole bunch of them puking.
I’m wanting to see the legendary Brown Note in action.
