My DIL is from Kyrgyzstan which is north of Afghanistan separated only by little Tajikistan. These are considered Central Asia along with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan

That is misinterpretation of Trump’s speech as it relates to India-Pakistan relations.
First he cannot and is not “forcing” India to “stop Pakistan” from hiding terrorists. 1. He cannot and is not “forcing” India in any fashion. 2. India CANNOT by her own actions “stop” Pakistan from doing anything.
What he is doing is offering to partner with India on the “nation building” support that Afghanistan needs. That’s it. How much of that partnership does Afghanistan want? Will it be pressure for a more peaceful cooperative Pakistan with India, or anger Pakistan and be seen by them as an attempt to supplant their influence in Afghanistan with their rival’s, India; and push Pakistan to simply ally closer with China?
Trump may TRY to encourage, he cannot “force” India or Pakistan to alter their courses and India, short of war, cannot “stop” Pakistan in any regard as to terrorists in Pakistan. Again, India can TRY to encourage and hope Pakistan changes course, but it has no ability to “stop” one course in Pakistan and MAKE Pakistan take another.

Why did that one thing alone take so long, why was Bin Laden there in the first place, why did we have to go to war to get at Bin Laden, and who would easily let another Bin Laden act as he did from Afghanistan? One thing answers all three of those questions - the Taliban. They were integral to why Afghanistan and Bin Laden were related, and they remain as such a potential today. They were inseparable then and they are still.

You know Art I would buy what you are saying if we hadn’t said the same DAMNED thing through the last 4 elections, NOW we are expected to believe that IF WE ONLY HAD 60 seats in the senate, 60 seats will make NO DIFFERENCE because the seats we have NOW are not on Trumps side or OUR side they are BIG government SWAMP creatures and I have come to believe that the deep state is in control, and there is NOT one DAMNED THING we can do about it!!!! WE can vote all we want to NOTHING will change!!!! The country BELONGS to lobbyists!!! I am VERY SAD but the DAMNED COUNTRY is lost to us we the people!!!
