A source with direct knowledge of these matters tells Breitbart News that the senior staff at the White House, including National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, did not brief President Donald Trump on the collision the Navy destroyer USS John McCain had with an oil tanker near Singapore before he originally seemingly dismissed the incident saying, thats too bad. Trump later, after receiving more information on it, tweeted that he hopes for the best for the lost sailors. The collision left 10 sailors missing and another five injured.
Thats too bad, Trump said when responding to shouted press questions about the collision of the USS John McCain with an oil tanker, per a White House pool report earlier in the evening.
Many took the comment to be disrespectful and something that critics would not let previous presidents get away with.

So you think Mcmaster shouldnt be called out ?
I vehemently disagree.
To what end? You are dreaming if you think this will push him out of the White House. In fact, the hysterical and now months long “McMaster is Satan” campaign will backfire. The natural reaction from anybody is: I pick my own staff. So if you want McMaster in the WH, keep cheering all the sniping at him.
It would not matter what he said they would all jump on it, he can do no right.
Thanks for the protocol info. Useful to know. Is it pretty much set in stone regardless of administration? Might Obama or Bush have ever varied it?
[Did Breitbart Radio mentioned Jared and Ivanka.]
Yup. That family is unfortunately have more advisory weight then the advisors with ideas that helps him win do.
The image of the desk is hilarious although I know exaggerated. She was probably upset that she doesn’t have access to her daddy. because she was told she couldn’t see him right then. I wonder if she went through the normal stages of temper tantrum first, then the tears, then the pout.
[Thus, this is an unjustified attack on McMaster. Im waiting for him to be blamed for the white house cook burning the Presidents breakfast toast.
Exactly. The never ending and hysterical Breitbart tantrum about McMaster is just going to push him closer to POTUS.]
Perhaps you should do more research on McMaster, and why he’s a problem for this Admin....
I absolutely believe Trump cares about the military.
Your chain of command post is interesting . Just wondered how much time lags in getting information..and how much gets kept from them as normal course of business. Not everything is an emergency need to know ASAP kind of thing
Reading a phrase does not give inflection. That is subjective.
So you think we should just cover up his ridiculous hires and his beliefs? Shouldn’t you question why a CAIR person is now in charge of counterterrorism...why he wanted to hire the BENGHAZI TALKING POINTS WOMAN???
Well..you can hide it if you want...I think it needs to be exposed.
Yes, it has been quite a resource hog and reasons why I wouldn’t go there. Jammed up my computer. Maybe Bannon will change it somewhat.
Even click and paste doesn’t work right on my old windows XP when posting an article.
[Breibart has become like a gossip magazine.]
The website design is horrible, but the content is right on.
Do yourself a favor and invest in Satellite radio.
the Breitbart News Radio, in the mornings and weekends, is outstanding! Alone, well worth the subscription cost.
While very important, I do not think this collision needs the Sec Def to talk directly with the President. Most likely the SecDef or someone from his office would call the WH and inform the Nat’l Security Team about the collision and they in turn would tell the President. Not all serious or important events require a direct communication between the department head and the President.
NO, I think it’s right to bring up legitimate issues. But the constant and petty attacks on McMaster just undermine your position. Digging up a speech he made or 10 years ago just to run a daily hit piece on him looks silly. If you want McMaster gone that does not help your cause. Trump picks his staff. Not Bannon or Cernovich.
>>He is going to gun for Mcmaster , Jared, Ivanka, Gary Cohn and Dina Powell.

And may God abundantly shower His Blessings upon him : )
It isn’t an isolated event.
It shows a pattern that he continuously weaves and it is quite troubling.
How many thousands of posts have there been here about Benghazi and the talking points....yet......Mcmaster wanted to hire that woman.
Laughed out loud.
It will be interesting..but Mcmaster has the bigger fire power given he is in charge of NSA.
>>Did Breitbart Radio mentioned Jared and Ivanka.
Hit pieces have been coming out on them this weekend.

To be honest, Breitbart, as much as Bannon likes to hit McMaster (so do I), not all things are or must be filtered by and introduced to the President through the NSC.
Where was the Secretary of the Navy. I’d think they would have been informed B4 the NSC, and could have, quicker than the NSC, picked up the phone, demanding to speak to the White House, and given the 1st heads up on the incident. Apparently they did not. The fault of the NSC? No.
That Trump picks his staff has little to do with these not-so-petty facts. I think it is important for us to be aware of this information.

I take back some of a what I said previously.
Trump is a good man, but he is naive about just who are his new friends in the swamp of Washington D.C.
He seems to take too much about people at face value, based on personalities (”I like the guy” - referring to Kelly), but is not allowing anyone who deeply questions the D.C. swamp to vet people for just where they have been in their work (like McMaster’s work for the Qatar, Soros, Crony-Capitalist funded “International Security” think tank that was promoting the Iran deal for Obama).
I think Trump it is entirely possible that the lack of quick briefing to Trump about the Navy incident was no accident, and I’d suspect that is due to his new gate-keeper, Kelly. Kelly could be the fox in the hen house.
